    Anyone else see this yesterday?

I'm not the biggest fan of theirs and bought into their Valkyrie mold (Arcee & Paradron Medic) but was rather displeased with the quality. On that note, I'm definitely looking forward to MMC's Azalea. But IT stated that due to poor pre-order sales on their Tetra Squadron figures they'll be shutting down shop at the end of 2013.

Looks like they are closing down, and their last project was a Bumblebee toy.

Not to speak ill of the (nearly) dead, some of their products did suffer from flaws. I like the Quints, Spike/Sparkplug and the Allicon, some of the others has serious flaws. I wish they had fixed those flaws before they sent those toys to market. They seemed to be improving lately, but it may have been too late.

If their Tetrajets just had better proportions and maybe some more detail, they might have been winners.

longer legs and a better head would have helped a lot, and look at that cockpit!

Honestly, it would be nice to see some of the concepts for IT stuff produced by other third party companies who can finish the product right.

    Can't say I'm surprised....

...and to say that they don't know why the tetrajets had poor preorders just illustrates why they're going out of business. Seriously guys, look at the damn toy.

I love my Sunstorm tetrajet. I don't need the whole set or anything but it's got a pretty genius design.

Not surprised that with the state of competition in the 3P market some would start to go to the wall. I don't wish them any ill-will but I didn't buy their stuff because the rep for poor quality just said "stay away....."......so I obviously wasn't the only one.

Now if the message would translate across to the likes of FP, iGear and Toyworld that getti g a negative rep can be fatal some good would come from this.......but I doubt it.

After... "experiencing" their Nightbird, I can't honestly say I'm that torn up about this.

i love their quints because no one else has really done them. i also don't mind my nightbird redeco of arcee, but the price was right (tfsouce sale for like $30).

sad to see them go, i thought they had a nice niche with the quints.

i might still pick up tetrajet skywarp and thundercracker just to make this scene real since it awed me so much in 1984.

Shame, though I think we can all agree that the way the 3rd party market is right now they were definitely going to have a hard time surviving any longer with the competition being so good at making figs. Might try and find an Alicon later but who knows?

Damn. Glad I got mine at TFCon. Might not be great action figures but they do look like their onscreen characters, which is really all I wanted. Its not like I'm 12 and run around playing with them. Stand them there & I'm good.

Is it mean to say that they won't be missed?

They made some cool over prices Quintessons but they mostly made very bad over prices crap.

I also like the Alicon but that was extremely overpriced as well.

My biggest surprise is that they are the first group to go, I thougth BTS would have gone first but they seem to keep on going. With the news that some other company is making Overlord as well I will presume that BTS will die with thier Overlord release.

Impossible Toys may have survived if they listened to the fandom a bit more before putting out bad looking product. The Tetras are a good idea and have a neat transformation but the final look of the bots is horrible. You would think that they would have made them look a little better considering one mould gets you at least 9 repaint options.

Thanks for my Quints and Alicon IT but you just didn't have what it takes to survive in today's 3P market. I wish you guys all the best in the future.

They are out, but they said the later recolors (Rainmakers) might only happen in low numbers.

I really hate that for them, because they had some really good ideas and engineering in those tetrajets. With some modifications to the proportions and sharpening of the sculpt (ie, the head), that could've been an amazing toy.

But really, what did they think was going to happen when they try to produce and release all 7 versions of the mold at once? They should've released one first to gauge reactions, and then move on from there.

We all knew Impossible toys was going to kick the bucket, lets face it most of their products were crap, and some were overpriced. I still feel bad that they are calling quits however, just when they were starting to improve they were defeated.

I'm not all that surprised either. I always felt they tended to lack a real design aesthetic. Their stuff did what it was supposed to do, but there wasn't much character.

Thanks for the info...I'm a fan of their products and own nearly all of them. There's the big stuff like Allicon but there are the cool little things like Diaclone sized Spike and Sparkplug. I'm really glad the Tertra Jets are going to be released, nothing a custom head won't fix. And I'm very interested in the bumblebee, sounds like that will make it out also.

The impossible toys guys are fans---big G1 fans like me and i appreciated they were making characters with screen time no one else would do---Kranix? How cool is that.

So I want to take this opportunity to say "thanks". Making toys is not easy, thanks for the effort and thanks for filling holes in my collection...missing characters that mattered to me.

They said they listened and tried. Well, how about not trying and just doing? I know that's sometimes easier said than done, but seriously... A lot of people like the Tetrajets, but can't stand the face/head. Why couldn't they have designed a better quality version of them before going to production?

It's like they said "This is better. We don't have to go THAT far, we can save a few bucks."

They should've spent the few bucks. They should've gone that far. I honestly blame no one but them, I certainly don't blame 3rd party companies other than them.
That was one of the biggest "Oh, woe is me" bits.

Sad to see this news, but I'm honestly not surprised they couldn't recover from some of their releases.

Curious how that Bumblebee would have turned out.

Like you said, they said they'd "try." But from my point of view, they didn't do shit but just say shit to placate the fandom and then went on to release the tetrajets with that awful looking head sculpt. So much for "listening."

I've never had any of their products. And now, I never will. Am I sad? Nope. They had a chance to at least get me on board as I was excited to see the original designs of the tetrajets. But when they showed the headsculpt/faces, I knew I could never support it.

And before any jackhole decides to enter in the "entitled" argument, that shit has been thrown around too much and too loosely. There's nothing wrong with expressing your own dislike of something.

    *edit*

Crap, I guess I do own one of their products. I dug out a Nightbird MISB. Anyone want it for a "crazy aftermarket price?" :D
