I transformed my first fembot (Salvia) last night. It wasnt as bad as I had anticipated (I even kept the back flaps on as I hate partsforming).

I didnt realize that the extra shoulder pad detail prevented Salvia from transforming into the Azalea altmode. I was a bit disappointed.

I may trim them a bit.

Other than that, i absolutely LOVE this figure. Its really gorgeous in hand and articulation is a priority for me.

Cant the extra shoulder pads on Salvia just be pulled/poped out like with Zinnia?

He's not a fan of partsforming, so that option is out.

I havent tried yet. I just noticed on the previous page that it CAN be done
(Azalea alt mode), so maybe I need to take a closer look.

I could see that the pads are really just extra parts that are snapped into the standard shoulder pads, so it should be possible.

I don't think you are insane. I'd rather have all different characters from one good mold than 10 bumble bees from 10 different molds.

That is true, but those 10 bees would still cost only a fraction of these 6 in the end lol.

Still, so glad I looked when I did, that was the only Asterisk I have seen for sale in a long time for sale, and $180 MISB isn't bad IMO for the best deco of the base mold.

That was me. I started a topic on mmc's hub wondering if anyone else was hoping we could get some custom parts for the figures to differentiate them further since I was inspired to try to do a little of that myself with some moving around of their various bits. Its quite easy to give Salvia an armored skirt with her parts.

I really wanna see someone make some proper armor skirt parts for her though, maybe some forearm gauntlets or an attachment for the back of her head to make it look like her hair pony-tail thing. I think Eupa could use some new shoulder parts too to make her more heroically proportioned.

Also if anyone doesn't know Azalea is 10 dollars off on TFS right now: Reformatted - R-08 - Azalea the Avenger Good price if you just wanna get one version of this mold.

Did a slight reshaping and repainting of the face on my not-Elita One.

Great to see. You painted the lipsticks, nice work by the way. Only used a paint brush to get this level of detail?

For the face, did you remove existing paint and repainted it? What are other mods you did?

I reshaped her chin with a x-acto knife so her face look less round. Also use the x-acto to carve and shape the lips so they look as natural as my knife skill allows... So pretty much all the paint on the lips were gone after I'm done. I put in the panel lines on the chin and cheeks with the x-acto. I used a toothpick to dip a tiny bit of Tamiya Putty and swipe them around the junction/corners of the upper lip. It was to make her upper lips flow into the rest of her face so less "duck lips".

I just paint a flat white over the silver on her face since I'm lazy and I thought white on silver is ok-ish:eek: ... And for lips, a bit of dark purple first and then thinned florescent pink. Mind you everything is not perfect and smooth (and especially not professional at all) but I'm good with the result.

Well I finally broke down and ordered Azalea from TFsource since she was on sale for $50, and I'm really pleased with her. Azalea really fits in well with a lot of Classic styled figures.
