So I just sold some stuff on eBay and I have money burning in my pocket My plan was to buy Hexatron and the next two Fansproject Menasor bots and then save the remainder for another day. Then I thought to myself..... I have enough to get Yellow Giant.... I already have Herc and love it. But I have been thinking about getting Giant for a while. Or I could always get Fort Max. So I am not sure what to do now..... I have a limited budget, so if I go the route of Giant or Fort Max I will have to find a way to get Hexatron and the other Menasor bots some other way. Hexatron seems to be so much fun with all of his different modes. Where as Giant does not seem all that fun to play with. Thoughts??? Opinions???
Skip on Menasor the bots are easy to come by and quite frankly they're not the best FP has made not to mention KO's of the first two are supposedly in the works already. I'd say to get either Giant or Hexatron and something else.
As an option, I have the 1st release Yellow Giant MISB (never opened). I'm willing to sell them for what I paid initially (375.00) plus actual USPS shipping. I use paypal invoice to guarantee safe delivery with tracking. Let me know.
If you're a hardcore G1 collector, Fort Max would offer great playability. Frankly, I don't have many G1 stuff, so Fort Max's aesthetics doesn't really sit well with the rest of my collections. For details and CHUG/MP collectors, I'd think Giant + Hexatron is the way to go.
Go with which ever character you like better. As far as Giant not being fun, he's tons of fun. The little guys are pretty cool, some of them better than others, but they are pretty fun to pose and mess around with. Combined mode is a lot better to pose than Herc. I have both and I like both in their own ways. If you feel like Herc suits your Devastator needs, then I would tell you to stick to your original plan of Hexatron and the FP Stunticons.
Giant or fortmax? Menasor or hexatron? Giant's already hard to find but hexatron has six modes... Menasor can probably wait. So is fort max just by a tad. giant and hex. from what I can tell. If you have to pick between the two go with the one you'll have more fun.
I'd be all over this. The bulldozer is a bit fiddly to transform, but other than that I've enjoyed transforming my set several times. I own the green, because of course I wanted a green Devy... but I think the yellow looks better. If you get a green, you'll probably just end up wanting to sell your Herc... so get yellow. Other than Giant being my number 1 recommendation, I think Toyworld's Hardbone is a great figure and well worth his price... and Maketoys Chaos/Paladin... I wouldn't want to pass on him. Hexatron... there's something off that's making me lukewarm about him, but I'm still planning on picking him up if I can and give him a shot.
