I swore that I would never purchase 2 combiners of the same character again purely because of financial reasons...but I don't think I can resist this. If I have to choose one I will probably stick with MMC simply because I feel like they value me as a customer/collector more but I can't believe how much I am loving nemean. If they drop their price to be competitive then I will do my best to get them both. Fingers crossed.

I have to say I love the look of razorclaw, but the blacked out images of the other bots still scare me.

 

Certainly hope it doesn't work... and it's still looking pretty good for MMC. I'd like to see them succeed, it's really a shame there's 3 companies competing over such a niche product. A lot of people see that as a "good for the consumer" situation... but it's not good if it hurts a company I want to see continue to make products.

I was all for MMC's Predaking... but this reveal made me realize that I wasn't really happy with the proportions of it. While I prefer MMC's sharp edges and size (I've a feeling Ares is gonna be ridiculously huge), the proportions of TFC's Nemean really appeals to me... in all 3 modes, though I admit, the lion face is a bit on the "cute" side. I really feel that Leo-Dux is MMC's weakest link... and that's really too bad considering it's the core of the figure. TFC really came out swinging by showing a strong core first, before anything else... which is the way it should be.

Disappointed because I've already prepaid for 2 MMC figures... but it seems there's a lot of people still on their boat, so I don't think I'll have trouble selling them if needs be. I'm still waiting for more info before solidifying my decision.

Agreed, but the blacked-out image of Razorclaw is also scary in comparison to the prototype...

 

I love the way TFC razorclaw looks but blackbird really annoys me, so in this case I want more info before I commit. I wish these companies would render an image with a height guide, it is easy to do.

The digibash pics are awesome but to nitpick, I think the ears should be the same color as the face too. If Razorclaw is good size I'll probably buy him just for his beast mode. besides the kinda cute head I love everything about his beast mode way more than Leo's. Owing 2 not-Predakings might be kinda crazy though.

 

I don't think those are ears---look at the torso mode pics---the mane halves can slide outwards to make the mane bigger--it's extended in some pics and not others---and the "ears" move with the mane. I think those are mane parts, with the ears being the smaller, lower-mounted projections more on the sides of the head.

That, or his ears come off of his head when the mane extends.

No, I was not planning on doing a photoshop of the torso mode. I'm currently working on a TFC Superion background with the new add-on.

the way the mane pulls out and the weird button on top (not to mention the smushed face) really bugs me. the dead space with the slider to either side of the head looks odd.

I am really leaning heavily towards this one. I actually hope he isn't bigger than MMC's. I think their size is perfect. I dont want this to be MP size.

 

In the words of Griffith: "tfc's is freaking huge!" which probably means their main lion bot is significantly bigger than Leo. He may very well be MP sized.

 

The TFC offering looks very Anime while the MMC version satisfies my American animation itch more. This lion looks like a Bacugon (or however you spell it) drawing. It is not a bad thing but as I mentioned in the MMC thread; I think TFC will appeal mor to the Manga and Anime crowd and MMC to the comics and Amercian animation fans.
