I would love to get one of these and if you have to order threw the maketoys site, is there a way to vonvert it to english? I dont even know how to begin to navigate the site.

I Think that means it was either meant to come out in June but has been delayed or that they'll start taking orders in June. Can't see them bringing this out so soon when chaos isn't out yet.

 

Well that and I thought maybe Quantron was next in line.

 

Dood calm down just because a surprise project shows up and is getting released soon doesn't mean it has anything to do with another still heavily under development. They'll show Comp when they're ready. Unlike some companies MT are great when it comes to reveals.

Chaos has been out for over a week, he's even on ebay already. It's the US stock that takes forever to make its way over to the US etailers.

Wow, so much news! I don't know where to start. But I am definitely all in. I love Maketoys style and I have been wanting a nova forever.

I would not be surprised if they re-painted that new mold to match their shattered glass sets.

I will go ahead and set aside some money for their store launch. This is one limited edition that I definitely don't want to miss out on. However, I will be astonished if they can release this guy by the end of june considering how long I have had the Mobain sets on preorder.

 

It doesn't say that at all -_-. Just that they're working on getting an online shop up, and that this will be exclusively sold through that shop (does NOT say this will be limited quantities) somewhere in the latter third of June.

As for the toy... Enh. I'm not a huge fan of the RTS Laser Prime mold. If this is really based on it (as it looks to be), it will have to really impress me for me to buy it. The other Nova Prime we've seen (which is, to be fair, defunct) is clearly superior in almost every way.

 

Man... MakeToys is aggressively going after my wallet.

 

Sorry MK but if this weren't an exclusive I'd probably pick it up, as it is I have no clue how you're shop is going to be set up or if I'll be able to order stuff from it at all.

It looks like their new base figure has an entirely reworked Rm and shoulder transformation

 

Interested to see how this turns out. Since they're making their own base figure they should have made it transform similar to Nova's established IDW design, but I can see why they went with this decision (modularity).

 

So this is a separate figure from the Nemesis Battle Tanker pic we saw recently?

 

Yep. From Venksta in the Nemesis Tanker repaint thread, there are five "battle tanker" versions: the original (#1), the two SG ones (which are actually #4 and #5). The Scourge one is #2, and this "Angel" is #3.

 

Angel has already been in the works for a long time. Check the post from Venksta in the Maketoys Scourge thread.

 

So they took the Battle Tanker concept, eliminated you being able to use the part of the set that wouldn't cost you a lot of money, barely changed it, and are calling it a character it shares virtually no similarities with whatsoever? I see what will be the "wings" on the sides of the trailer, but it honestly just does not work for me at all.

I'll wait for MMC's inevitable Nova offering.
