MMC all the way. I did the aesthetic and the proportions, and the head sculpt on the combined mode is fantastic, it just looks really menacing to me. TFC's, I feel looks like it's derived from the Optimus prime/Soundwave/Ultra magnus school of head design, and just doesn't evoke Predaking for me.

With regard to Beast Modes, I feel MMC's evokes a more nimble, athletic and fierce predator, where as TFC's looks a little clunky.

TFC's bot mode proportions are a little better, but I don't like the way the guns hang off the back and I much prefer MMC's Razorclaw headsculpt.

LOL yeah this is just more bad news for UT. Can't help but feel for them, I hope nobody quit their jobs or sold their possessions in order to pour everything into that startup. They're not BAD, better than I could do - but they're playing with the big boys now and not getting picked.

 

I'd put it this way since the herc vs giant, TFC have great designs but poor engineering, I picked Herc over giant and would again but how I wish it had joint and build quality of Giant. TFC do just good enough, MMC from speaking with member of their team want to make a toy that looks great and will last, I have more faith in them to deliver.

If I could have TFC's in my hands tomorrow or have to wait 6 months for MMC I think MMC would be worth the wait.

In tearms of just design for me right now TFC and MMC tie, they both look great, little bits from both would probably make my perfect predaking but I'm sure most people can say that and none of us would pick the same bits.






Oh yeah and UT... sorry guys really not my to my tastes at all.

MMC is a must purchase for me. As for TFC, I was bit skeptical on how their not-Predacons would turn out, but after seeing their not-razor claw I am fairly impressed with it.

My bank account will suffer for this, but I will get both MMC and TFC not-Predacons.

 

I may be completely alone on this, but I'm buying MCC limbs, and TFC's Razor Claw. I'm a kitbasher, I'll find a way to make them combine.

 

I'm all in for MMC, if TFC somehow really pulls off a nice combiner, I'll look into getting it down the road. I want to see TFC's full reveal before I consider anything though.

I still prefer MMC, but the pics of both MMC and TFC's versions make the UT version look pathetic. It looks sad beside those two works of art.

 

Honestly, I'm the most pleased with "G1 with more joints and better proportions" of Unique Toys, but I don't have the budget for any of the three right now.

Any reason TFC's is shown larger? Do we have confirmation of the approximate size?

 

Jehsee better make the TFC the smallest before MMC fans go nuts... They just can't take it.  

 

TFC's version is tempting at the first glance and I might find a way to fit it in my collection depending on how much they ask for it. Their head sculpts of both bot and beast modes are big turnoffs. besides that, TFC's lion mode lacks the feeling of a Lion. It could be their stategy to the game on a safe side, as this is the same way that Hasbro's designers would go. A lion with chunky limbs plus thick bodies with a trunk of mechanic elements thrown in, we have seen a lot of such styles in Energon/Cybertron era. TFC's Razorclaw borrows a lot from Cybertron Leobreaker, so the familiarness is easily pleasing. Their design is nothing speical but i would say it is a good play when they are trying to break into the market established by MMC along these few months.

MMC's design is always full of characters. The bull bot is grumpy and impulsive, Talon is elegant, Razorclaw is deliberate and agile. Compared with the toy-oriented style of TFC's, MMC's sculpt has more complex shapes and details, and is more to my taste.

But we haven't seen TFC's gestalt yet, so I may vote to buy both if Tfc can catch up with light up feet and combinable weapons, and, please forget the idea of milking more money from the upgrade kits.

 

Another reason to get the UT one. It's not wildly oversized!

 

No its actually been said in the MMC thread more than once TFC's core bot will be significantly larger than MMC. Its old news.

If anything I get the impression TFC's will be lager than than that pic suggests.

 

Yeah... that's all straight from Griffith, TFC's is said to be massive. I was being pretty generous with the scale of both MMC's and UT's. I imagine TFC's will be bigger than I showed and UT's will be smaller.
