He's kind of supposed to just be a stererotypical otaku type, and with the look that that implies. Well, as much as a robot can look like that.

He looks like a derp because Ironfist IS kind of a derp. He's good at his actual job (weapon designer), but he's a total Wrecker fanboy and acts like a tween girl at a Justin Bieber show around them.

Priced around the ToyWorld not-Throttlebots would work for me. I don't get the criticisms about the A-stance for the legs; who poses their bots standing straight at attention (for a natural-looking standing pose, there will be some angle to the legs)? It's either having slightly-angled feet built into the design or give the mold ankle-tilts. Anything else would look a bit off and stiff, similar to FP Code X-1.

Ugly and stumpy is exactly what Ironfist is supposed to be. He's a geeked out Wreckers fanboy who obsesses and gushes over his heroes to the point of writing historical accounts of their exploits under the alias "Fisitron" (an anagram of his name, Ironfist). He's also an egghead scientist and weapons designer in a similar vein to Wheeljack. Everything about his character is supposed to be rotund and awkward and gloriously nerdy.

Also, he's a badass because he
was the one who ultimately defeats Overlord the first time around in LSOTW by giving Springer the minigun used to inject Overlord with hundreds of deterence chips and then exploding all of them at the same time (using the power of Aequitas he had just downloded into his own brain for the detonation codes), thus reducing Overlord to a flaming skeletal pile of still-living scrap.

Damn. And that is exactly how I felt about the character. A fanboy. Pretty good given the limitations of robots. This makes him quite a unique piece.

Give him small botcon exclusive toys just for fun and make him smelly like that beastman toy... I'll take it!

It should look fuzzy, it's just a rapid prototype, rough and unrefined. Not indicitive of the final sculpt and just shown for a general idea of the sculpt.

<3 those giant eyes. This guy is a perfect example of how awesome a tertiary character can be.

Yeah I just checked out the Facebook page saying it's a Mark 1 prototype. :)

I just wasn't sure if I was really seeing fuzziness on him or not because everything is fuzzy to me these days.:lol

Anyway this guy is so freaking bought!

This guy looks to be the size and complexity of an iGear Miniwarrior. I think $20-$30 would sell this guy out in no time flat. $30+-$40 will sell this guy becauser the price is comparible to the iGear MW prices. Anything above $40 and this new company is going to have a slow road ahead of them.

It's a good figure and I think a must have for Wrecker collectors. Let's hope Mach 5 is in this race to impress the fandom.

I'm figuring he'll be around $40-$50, but with a retool/repaint of him already planned maybe he'll be cheaper like the MI twins.

    Piston reveal

Looks like a very good Crankcase homage, new head too.

So am I the only one that thinks these look to similar to igears mini warriors to be a coincidence?

If you compare the promo image with igears minibots, hexatron and wrecking crue, looks to be all done by the same designer. The face on Piston even looks similar to one of the Feral Rex figures.

    That's because they are.
There are no "3rd Party" companies.
It's all Hasbro, and they've got us all fooled.

Well, not all of us... *puts on tinfoil hat and starts filling bucket with cats to throw at Hasbro's helicoptors*

I can see the similarities to Miniwarriors based on the more simplistic transformation design, but it kind of ends there for me.

I had asked on Bal Dillinger's Facebook page if he had anything to do with Gauntlet. I haven't gotten a response yet, I wouldn't be surprised if I don't. Since he publicly seems very involved with iGear he may want to downplay any moonlighting he's doing for other 3P groups.

I think these look like fat dumpy turds, honesty. Couple that with me barely having an idea of who the wreckers even are and I can easily pass.

@megamoonman the wreckers are an elite commando unit of autobots. like navy seals.
