This guy looks so damn good. I was completely uninterested before but now, I'm as good as sold.

    Holy X-Wing fighter!

This looks great. Maybe get two and repaint one into an X-Wing.

Robot mode is ok, alt mode is still awful. Easy pass for me.

Not bad, not great, but not bad. May pick up if I have some extra cash laying around down the road.

Looks neat. Kind of Action Master-esque for some reason, but still should be neat. I like Hardbone, so I think I'll enjoy Brainwave, too.

I guess I don't remember Brainstorm so well. I don't recall him looking anything like an X-wing fighter:inquisiti

For some reason, I really really like the look of this. I'm not exactly sure why I like it, but I do.

looking at the G1 cartoon pics there seems to be two different brainstorm faces. one has a faceplate and another has none and just a face. is this right? maybe different animations from the sunbow and japanese headmasters cartoon?

i had to cancel. I think ill stick to fp for the headmasters. hardbone looked like a decent g1 toy update, but this one is not looking good to mine eyes. I hope fp does the remaining headmasters as well.

Looks like the cockpit stays on his back and the chest is a fake canopy. Looks like the chest canopy can open too...

Liking the colors. Peaugh mentioned that the FP figures that had faceplates in G1 will come will come with removable faceplate so I'm torn now...

I like the X-wing look but the wings would look better if they were a little longer say half an inch broader each side.

The other one has a sleeker jet mode but I think the Toyworld one looks more fun as a robot to play with.

This one look like it will fit in better with TFC toys too

I don't know, really torn on this one. Unpainted I really didn't like it, looked more like a revoltech figure than a tf, colored he looks a ton better, but that altmode still looks halfassed to me.

But really liking the color scheme and head mold, depending on finances might, just might be tempted to pick up both.

colors are really well done! EXCEPT he has NO EYES?

how is it that a figure with sooooo much light blue everywhere has black eyes instead of light blue?

and those legs in jet mode harken back to the lazy later G1 days of "fold the chunky legs back and voila!" Boxy legs that look like nothing except boxy legs stuck on top of an alt mode. Like Scorpinok.
You'd think 30 years would have brought some more ingenuity in the design work.

I would argue that simplicity is sometimes much better so long as a transformation does something and is elegant. But these guys are directly competing with fansproject's function x, where the incredible engineering bliss of the transformation is one of the major selling points. I like this guy and the colors bar what is going on with the eyes, but they're expensive and pretty big for what they are. I mean smart robin has his thin alt mode wings disappear into the robot mode legs through some witchcraft somehow.

Nice colored pics. I have to agree that his robot mode and head sculpt is very IDW'esq and I like it. The head sculpt is very close but something with the eyes is off.

But I'm not feeling the X-Wing Fighter over the original alt mode. The size of Hardbone was a bit too big and un-articuled. FansProject has one of the two modes down pat as well, slightly smaller size, in scale with other deluxes, and cheaper.

Sorry FansProject still wins. The Paint apps just weren't quite enough to get me over the hump to buy. I'd fiddle with it for 50 but not a 100.
