Thank you for showing the torso bot! It's like MT and FP are not the same!!! I believe with Giant, they actually showed a wire outline of gestalt mode BEFORE any of the individual bots. hell, I think we got a gray prototype of the whole bot before any of the individual guys. Perhaps with Devastator, with six unique molds, they wanted to keep each member as secret as possible until release. Here, they've shown us a torso and and arm

On the other hand, the right arm looks ALOT like Explorer, down to the downward folded wings on the right forearm. Arm limbs also look to use the individual limbs' knee and waist joints as the gestalt elbow, just like FP Colossus and Intimidator

Really, they need to release Paladin/Chaos. Now.

although MakeToys may pull some surprise, I'd guess that the release is a good year away, at least.

Since we haven't heard anything at all about this figure, and these pics seem like early conceptual art.

Again, unless they've been hard at work behind the scenes... but even if that, the factories are soooo behind with all of the 3rd party products with everything being pushed back

Lots of details can be gleaned just from what we saw.

For example, Scattorshot's "missile launchers" on his lower legs - those look like Computron's feet and strongly resemble FP Colossus's feet/Onslaught's "missile packs."

We see that Scattorshot has his trademark cannon

As I mentioned, the forearms are formed from Strafe's legs (elbow joint for Computron waist, hip, and Knee joints of each arm limb, just like Colossus/Intimidator), NO PARTSFORMING forearms like Giant.

Celeritas/Lightspeed looks ALOT like FP T-Bone/Car Crash the way that the front of the car extends/twists into the legs. It looks like the front bumper/hood fold into shins UNLIKE the FP Stunticons using that area to split into feet.

Each limb will have ankle tilts but I can't tell if Scattorshot/Metalstorm will.

 

I like the look of the concept art! Looks like this will be added to my list of purchases.

Love Computron, love the idea of Maketoys MAKING a Computron, but god damn that cannon on the back of "Metalstorm" looks stupid huge. I know the G1 toy had it hanging back there, but seriously, damn. Granted, this is clearly just concept art, so I'm not going to wig out until there are physical prototypes.

 

Maybe it'll be detachable to use as a mortar of some sort.

 

Possibly. I don't mind it so much on the back of the combined robot. It's still a little big, but doesn't look nearly as out of place as it does on Metalstorm by himself. And really, the issue is less "giant cannon" and more "BACKHEAVY."
