Nothing new. My guess though we'll see preorders for the first set January with release on March.

I think it would be more epic if the first Quantron was SG colors(ie Abominus colors)!

Pre-orders can't come soon enough, my Autobots are being outnumbered in the gestalt department.

I also wonder what teams are next for FP and Maketoys, I really enjoy the scale they have created.

I would hope that either Abominus or Defensor are next

FP did a great job on Wierdwolf's animal mode, with Jizais help. Their Sixknights panther mode looks good as well. I'd like an FP Abominus

They could probably use some engineering ideas from Diesel on Hot Spot as well since they're both large trucks that form the center of gestalt a

Partsforming solves the Groves size issue as well, just have a chunk of Hot Spot break off and attach to Groves leg mode

Like them or not, I'm very impressed with unique toys Predaking and cannot wait to finish it as it's been my first 3p combiner project. With that said, I prefer the scales that maketoys, fansproject and unique toys have done. Looking forward to how this will turn out

Since tfc has a defensor in the works, and I like their stuff too, I'd rather fp do one that no one has claimed to be working in or started on already. Abominus would be my pick. Would be awesome in fp/maketoys cosmetics. But I'm in need of this quantron first, since superion from tfc is up against 2 devastators, bruticus, and the start of 2 predakings. Lol

Abominus would be the logical (an awesome) follow-up to Quantron, but I do hope that they have a planned Defensor in the works, I haven't liked a TFC design since Hercules. It be cool if we got a Raiden as the Autobot gestalt first if they wanted to do someone without competition.

And I agree with you Amon, I think UniqueToys has a very solid first showing and can not wait to complete it.

I'm wondering with everyone wanting to know what combiners are next for which companies, anyone think companies like MT or FP will work their way thru a couple combiners or like maybe FP is one and done. Or maybe even mmc is one and done. I think it would just be crazy if every company did their own version of every combiner. I am getting 3 predakings and why I don't know cuz he is not my favorite. That would be alot of gestalts.

There doesn't appear to be a predictable pattern

It's fine since there are many ways to set up your collection, different people have different views on how big each combiner should be

For example I think Feral Rex scales fine with the MT and FP guys and have no interest in TFC and Warbotron, others are the opposite

I believe that MMC has already stated that it will be a while before they commit to making another combiner. Too bad though because I think they would make a great Abominus.

My first pick would be a Defensor from FP (scaled to their Menasor) & a new Superion from MT.

Yes this is why people need to stop saying MMC needs to make blah blah gestalt asap! They simply can't, 2014 is a no-gestalt year for mmc so they're working on a a tonne of different sized/complexity figures instead.

But yes if anyone is going to do Abom to stand besides MT's Comp it should be them so hopefully people can wait patiently to see if they do. :)

Just kind of found out about this. Looks wonderful, and bulky. Absolutely awesome. They nailed the design, which I am sure is not a simple task. Can't wait until more leaks and eventual release information surfaces.

I always thought the giant drill-knee looked bad in G1, as it was so large it appears it'd affect his mobility/articulation in combined mode (if, you know, the G1 figure had working knees and hips etc).

The smaller knee seems more like a "knight's spiked knee-cap" and not a handicap now.

Anyways---I like the vehicle modes, though Afterburner seems awfully "car"ish. Maybe the rear "fenders" can be removed? They appear to be the bot-mode arms though.

Lightspeed seems kinda sorta F1/Indy-car though, not futuristic sports car.
