A possible solution for the shape of a G1 Prime rifle to fit in figures hands is to include a triggerguard/handle part that is able to rotate around 180 degrees this would stop the hovering handle problem by allowing the proper handle to be back facing for figures with a more open hand and the 5MM post back facing for figures with a traditional connection and rotating the handle forward means the rifle would then sit lower - another idea is to place the other peg 90 degrees to the side of the body so the rifle is held like sten gun.

There has been a lot of these rifles made now. I like it when people remember that later toys had different guns and use them as the basis of weapons - i.e. Upscaled Gobots/Spychanger weapons still interests me.

Just think about the number of characters who have used one Frenzy,Soundwave, Sideswipe, Megatron, Optimus, Bumblebee, and so on... all have Spychanger or Gobots toys even more when you add in the Universe toys.

If they are doing requests I'd suggest a Beast Wars pack ; DepthCharge Rifle, Rattrap Pistol (deluxe), & a Transmetal 2 driver and Rampage spark container, Code Of Primus. etc..

Or a Convoy Cannon pack : various kids role play weapons were used on the Japanese TV shows by the main characters (RobotMasters Lio Convoy comes with one) and those and things like the Energon sword used by Optimus and Megatron early in the TV series could be made.

I think things don't "need" to be G1 - but making things that have been in a TV show (any TV show) is a productive idea.

Wow. I don't think I've seen this unanimous of a negative reaction to any reveal before. Sticking so close to the G1 gun was a bad choice.

Gotta agree with what others have said. If you're going to try to improve the Optimus G1 gun, you gotta move the peg that goes into the robots fist to where it should have been to start with. Back to the gun grip.

Don't do it. Just seems like everyone is gonna lose money on this thing. Make something people want. Big problem was that you showed it in the hands of a figure. Looks ok on it's own but when you show off how horrible it looks in every figure we'd want to pair it with, you clearly have a bad design. Not gonna sell one gun for $12 to a lot of fans unless it's utterly badass.

I got mine at Metrocon, and it's bloody fantastic. The workmanship is stellar, and I purchased it primarily for my FOC Soundblaster. No more missing gun for him!

There is a need for affordable modern good looking weapons that fit the classic/universe/foc/wfc lines. But i don't see the need for a upscale old prime rifle from G1 that looked horrible in hand even in 1985.

A wish there was a TF version of marauder inc.

Thank you again for the feedback. Our designers have been hard at work changing the handle placement. We feel the new version will be more welcomed by those looking for a retro styled Optimus rifle. We plan to have final photos by Monday. Along with preorders up at other retailers. In the mean time you can place a preorder at Captured Prey and get FREE shipping.

I would want this to look good with MP-10. definitely still work on the handle placement.
But I'm more interested in this piece if it can make a good alternative to his default spring loaded gun.

Do you really need a cavity in the barrel that badly. Its a laser beam gun with a shoulder stock.

Why is Optimus holding his rifle by the clip instead of by the handle?

I think enough has been said about the handle so ill leave that alone. What I see is a solid, one -piece mold with minor detailing, although I can clearly see where the press came together.
An admirable accomplishment for a fledgling company in those regards... but you don't seem to bring a lot of creativity this far.
At this point I might recommend some research to see what the fuck we actually want, as well as a little bit of foresight regarding things like that protrusion from the back of the gun (ill assume that's a stock).
That was stupit and negated the whole project. Fixable? Yes. Worth it? No, not with this product.
Last, bring a product before you bring your name, for reals.
"My name is Rosco Coltrain, and I'm gonna have have some dope shit later on!"
Nah, son. You supposed to go to the drawing board FIRST.

Not sure what's the point of this thing unless you're into G1 toy nostalgia (right down to the nonsensical grip and kibble that gets in the way of figures holding the thing correctly) when Dr. Wu's metallic storm ion rifles (made of decent quality diecast metal) are readily available.

    Copy cat

For this company to come into a market that is already saturated with third-party products......honestly....i think they have to rethink what they are doing.

to take a g1 rifle and add a longer peg is not ground breaking. i could care less what materials they used for the gun but the bottom line (to use words less entertaining) IT SUCKS!

Even if it were given to me for free i'd just hand it off to the next guy.
The rifle doesn't even sit right on most figs, it was not redesigned, and it is just a:

    COPY CAT!!!

I hated that rifle on my G1 Optimus Prime. In fact, I chopped off the awkward handle so that it fit more securely.

This is definitely not the right product to introduce a company.
