On a whim I broke down and finally picked this guy up, both colors, at a decent price.

I knew going in it was not well received, but there were elements I liked, and I'm careful with my stuff and very rarely do I have anything break, even reportedly fragile stuff, so I wasn't worried about his creaky hips and what not.

So, I was trying to transform Mr. Green, and while doing so, in absence of excessive force, the part that connects his "pecks and shoulders" to the top of his "abs" shattered at the ab-connection point.

I've been googling and forum searching for a bit now, and I'm coming up with ZERO reports of breakage (at least in regard to where mine went south), and other than a dead-link to Xovergen's website where there was once a "transformation tips and caution" page, I can't find any descriptions of what I might have done wrong, clearly I was stressing the joint inappropriately....somehow.

I can fix the break on Mr. Green with my printer (going to try and make a little design improvement while I'm at it), but I'd rather not break the Prime-flavored version.

Anyone make friends with this mold who can offer some advice as to what might have gone wrong?

    Thanks!
    D/L

I have both versions and they have yet to break. However, I know exactly what you are talking about. That piece feels like it is ready to pop every time I transform these guys. I am a little surprised that more wasn't said about tat part, as it is the weakest part of a figure that gets consistently bashed. I honestly don't have too many complaints about these guys other than the feel like they will break every time I transform them.

I don't have any special way of transforming them that can really help. All I do is take that pivot/curve very slowly. If I feel that I have too much force, I pull it back and try again. There has to be a better design.

Glad I'm not the only one, maybe I really did get a (even more) faulty one.
