The only explanation I can offer up is it's either a prototype, or they're meant to serve as literal "Energon" limbs.

The only good news here is that this may force FP to rerelease this set.....and I need it  

 

Either way I wouldn't mind picking it up in both of those clear colors for customization purposes. Would same me a LOT of trouble.

 

I need that like oxygen. It brings a tear to my eye to see the Energon combiners done proper...

Failing a re-issue of the appendage kit i'd like to see FP do two Aerialbots and the kit like they did with Bruticus. I'm fine with scout/deluxe sized gestalts.

i want it. A energon superion with the 2 characters from nemesis prime and the blue KO add on would look sweet i think.
