It's got lights and everything! Wow, that looks great!

Cannon arm looks interesting - I like how it can swap from one arm to the other for the transformation - but I don't know that it really needs it. I know it's an iconic part of G1 Omega's design (and even WFC Omega's design) , but having had the figure for a month or so now, the space battleship prow arm is kind of growing on me.

And it looks like they're saying October now? Makes sense - I'd have been surprised to see it get put together so quickly and launch alongside the Mobine sets they're doing.

I don't even have YOTS OS and i want this set for the base set up.Not a fan of how it looks in bot mode.So the clear tip on the spaceship's tip has to be moved to the top of the bridge every time you have to transform it?

Edit:Just look at my Energon OS and that part doesn't look to just pop off.It looks to be glued on and how many folks are going to tear-up their nice new toy just for this kit?.I would cause my OS is busted up anyway.

    Those tracks look pretty bad.
Do they even go all the way around the base.
As silly as they look they probably shouldn't.

It's to achieve a diorama effect I think. It's not my cup of tea, but it works pretty well.

I'm sorry, I'm so so sorry, but when I look at this set I think to myself "damn if you mixed this set with several of the other cityformers/baseformers and painted them pastel colors you could get a nice high-tech version of this."

I tend to agree. Nothing against the planet genesis mold, but it appeals to a certain tastes (mostly WFC & FOC) and I think YOS works really well with my generations collection. As I'm hoping metroplex does too.

this announcement of this set is what convinced me go with this omega

Looks decent enough...now it all comes down to price. At $25 or less, I'm in. I'm sure it'll be typical 3rd party pricing, though, so probably a pass.

I have to say that it is kind of nice seeing a 3rd party actually doing a clever add-on kit again, rather then a complete figure of their own.

I want some of whatever you're smoking... $25 for an upgrade kit this size??? If it's under $100 I'll be happy.

So true, I'm hoping for a $60 price point though giving you a complete omega for half the cost of planet x

Looks promising but unfortunately Maketoys stuff tends to be on the expensive side, even for third party.
I wouldn't be surprised if this easily hits the $150 price point before shipping.

A larger head would be nice, as already noted. The left arm cannon is a great addition. Not sure what happens to the original hand while in bot mode though.

Also, a quarter of a track is better than no track at all I suppose. Would be nice if they sold extra lengths without having to get the entire kit.
