Interested to see where this leads, the tracks IMO should be smaller, maybe something for his gun arm and I'd like to see a little larger head.

 

Filled in the background of the robot mode picture and auto leveled it to see more detail. Sadly you can pretty much see more detail on the Hasbro parts...

So it looks like it's just a wingpack and some kibble for the legs...

Same here. I got a little excited -I just got my yots Omega Supreme yesterday, and I'm really looking forward to this set. Then I figure I can properly compare it with the Genesis already on my shelf.

 

I think there may be more to this than meets the eye.

The back of YOTS OS opens up (where fatimus prime would sit when combined). I think there are additional things included in this set that we aren't seeing from the silhouette that attach in that area.

 

Any updates? Is Maketoys a member of this forum, or do they read the discussions here at all? Seems like biggest complaint folks have is the missing arm cannon. Hope Maketoys can do something about this.

These new pics made me go from "probably going to pass" to "100% buying." This looks fantastic and totally completes YOTS Omega Supreme. The base mode is way better than I thought and now it's confirmed to come with a blaster hand for the left arm.

 

Love their idea for the base mode - would be even more awesome if they had enough track pieces to form a full oval or circle, even if not are used in robot mode as wings.

Despite how good that base mode looks, I am not 100% sold yet. The extra parts look like they just form lower leg kibble (possibly faux "armor"), and the tracks become wing things. Faithful to G1, and undoubtedly limited by the mold it's using as a base . . . but not enough for me.

That mold is really dated. No ankle tilts, a ridiculously simple transformation, and it's $100+. That, plus the paint colors still are off to me: too much red on the right lower leg and foot, a puke gold trim and a funky yellow on the right shoulder. Not MT's fault, but Hasbro's.

I had YOTS Omega on pre-order as soon as MT's upgrade was announced . . . then I cancelled and grabbed Planet X Genesis.

Solid work from MT but I don't regret my decision at this stage.

 

Not $100+, just $100. Still overpriced considering what all was gutted, especially with how Unicron just sold for $60 not long ago with all it's features intact. Sure, this Omega had lots of new parts that we had to pay for, unlike Unicron whose new head was paid for back in 2010... but there's no way the guy looks and feels like a $100 toy. I still bought him anyways, because even though he's overpriced, he's still really cool.

Still feeling very "ehhhhh" on this add-on. Things that could help sway me more in it's favor would be stuff like a light kit for the left arm to replace what hasbro left out, or one integrated into the new blaster add-on.

Even then, I doubt I'd get it. The stuff on his legs looks so horribly tacked-on. The base mode does look cool, but would be too damn huge for me to ever display like that.

 

I'll stick with my makeshift base mode for now.

Not really liking the rocket arm. Just a giant tip on the arm. It should be smaller or cover the entire arm to make the whole lower arm that large.
