I was very fortunate to get a YOTS Omega Supreme from a local collector for a very reasonable price. So glad I did because I think this set is just going to make it even better. Cant wait -

don't pretty much all upgrades cost about as much or more than the bot it goes to?
generations kup cost as much as his upgrade and i think that's about the cheapest example we have. let's not mention city commander, protector, any of venksta's upgrades, battle tanker, crazy devy, on and on....
that said, if this comes in under $100 it will be seriously considered. significantly under $100? absolutely bought.

Why are people throwing around a $100 price for a few pieces of plastic with minimal moving parts. This set is comparible to the Rage of Hurcules set with sold for about $30. This set should not even come close to $50. And that $50 is a highball price due to those two lights.

yeah i don't think this will be $100 but with the sheer amount of plactic and the moving parts it uses to condense along with the lights i could easily see $50-$75.

Maybe people feel like it's a better product if they get to pay more for it... At least Lil Cuz gets to see so many people are willing to pay somewhere near $100, though. And now if they charge $75 they'll be considered heroes. :rolleyes2

    bolded part = LIKE ;P

You are right that they will unfortnately be considered heros if the price is $75. Yes it is a cool piece, yes it is MT so it will most likely be high quality but come on people it is moulded plastic with very few moving parts. This thing would be at the higher end of pricing at $50. Once again I refer to the Rage of Hercules set, same concept, about the same regarding piece count and engineering and IIRC it sold for $30.

If this is in the realm of $30-50 I will support them and buy one. Anything more and I will wait for it to go on clearance.

The Rage of Hercules sold for $45 - $50, and there was considerably less "there" there than in the Omega Supreme kit. A head, two forearms, a gun, and a couple of shoulder extensions. Not a whole lot of moving parts. The Omega kit has what looks to be a couple of feet of track, another foot of launch platform, gantry, lights, and cannon. Most of those items transform into a different configuration, such that there are several moving parts.

Now, I'd love it if this kit came in inexpensively. But first, there's just more to it than the Rage kit. And second, even the Rage kit wasn't quite as cheap as you remember (unless you got a great deal somewhere, which is certainly possible). But to expect it to be less that $50, much less $30, seems like drastically unrealistic expectations.

Rage was $30 at RK. Even with shipping it would be under $50. When it comes to TFC you need to go RK the NA sites sell for way too much.

If Rage can sell for $30 then this set should have no problems making a profit at $50. It may be more pieces but it is all flat shaped plastic that snaps together. (Aside from the leg/light part that appears to have a fold or two in it).

Let's remember folks, $50 got us a complete bot and a bunch of pieces (aka half of Collosus) and that was years ago.

I have more fait in MT's prices than I do with people's understanding of 3P prices. I believe we will see a price in and around $50 and this set will sell well.

Because tards would rather throw money at companies arbitrarily at any high dollar amount... some people have more money than common cents (bad pun), I'm afraid. Personally, $50 sounds more than reasonable for this. No need to pay CrazyDevy or Perfect Effect prices when you don't need to.

wow, if I was ever on the fence about YOtS omega this would certainly have me hopping over. Personally I won't be picking up Omega or this set. I just don't feel a neew to have him in my collection.

let's also remember that was YEARS ago and something called inflation! it's nice to hope for cheaper but sets you up for disappointment. and i seriously doubt any company is coming on here going "oh hey they'll pay that much? let's charge it!" we can't even get consistant updates from most of them and they're not even coming on here to do that! so that point that i see from kibble ALL THE TIME is pretty moot. not to mention if some of these companies did try to charge the crazy amounts some people suggest, they would go out of business quickly as most won't pay those prices. that said, once again i feel $50-$75 is reasonable based off CURRENT 3rd party prices. if it's less, well good god by all means yes please.

I do like this, however, I would have liked to see:

    - The cannon arm add on to be a bit longer.
    - The addons to fit around the leg instead of just looking like a throw in that snaps to the side of the leg. If it was a wrap around piece that have both legs a similar look, I think it would have looked nicer.

So while I appreciate what they are doing, this looks very simplistic in design, so I am not overly impressed with it. So $50 or less should be the going rate for what it is.

I read a lot "It'd be $50 or less" but the size of this toy is not normal.
This is a big guy and this kit will not be small... so knowing 3rd party prices, It will cost more than that... maybe around $100?

Still debating getting YOTS OS with the MT upgrade kit or Planet-X Genesis (I already have the Planet-X new face sculpted head that can fit either figure). Gonna wait until MT releases their add-on and see some reviews first before making a decision. Either way, it's going to be an expensive investment. XD

That said, I think YOTS OS has aesthetics that jives with CHUG a lot better, even if his train feet aren't G1 accurate and lack any ankle tilts. I do wish MT made it so that the track wings could be folded in half length-wise so that they're not so wide in bot mode. Genesis seems like a neat figure on his own and he does look great vs. TFC Hercules but the FoC aesthetics/proportions are holding me back from liking him full stop.
