No way in hell it will be anywhere near $25. You can barely get a 3rd party gun or sword for that price.

The Battle Tanker goes for more than $135 and it is far smaller than this kit.

 

340 for giant and 105 for Palladin/ The Fallen is on the cheaper side of 3P prices. MT is actually known for having some of the lowest prices.

 

Couple chunks of plastic that don't really do anything but clip on or together...no complicated factory assembly required. Cha-ching! If it's over $100 I'll be happy cuz it'll be one of the easiest insta-passes in a while.

 

The spotlights are a neat Idea. Also the catwalks around the rocket to post smaller robots on. I'm probably not going to buy it since I have other third party figures to buy. And I'm happy with omega sans extras.

The G1 blaster hand is tempting and its neat that it also goes in the train claw. There just is not a whole lot of action in this set. To be a bit critical at this point it reminds me of some building block kits, and it seems to be two incomplete builds begging for more add ons to make a massive full circle track with Maybe some G1 style shoes to be ramps and the other half of the launch base.

 

yep, transbot is absolutely right. battle tanker was a tiny bit pricey but since then they've been on par with the cheaper guys. those saying they're expensive either don't know what they're talking about or are basing that statement off of the secondary market.

 

I'm liking this more and more. of course, I already MADE a blaster since that was missing from the initial mock-ups, but that's cool, the base mode on this is just great, as are the track-wings, which is mostly what I care about.

Price will definitely be a factor, especially since I can bang up some track-wings myself if they ask too much  

 

I am not liking it that much but if it is sub $100 I will probably just get it. It would probably look good with other figures on it.

 

That actually looks really cool. I might pick it up. But they need to get Chaos released first of course.

 

Well now... these new prototype shots show A LOT more parts added... and really make the figure sport a convincing base mode now.

 

I just received PX's Genesis but I want to have MT's better now! I think this verison is fits my CHUG shelf.

Yeah, I kind of see that. I think seeing this in color is going to make a *BIG* difference though. So far, I like what I see. The tracks are large, but they need to be that large to hold the train.

Doesn’t matter what or how much you add, Energon Omega Supreme is still a HORIBLE mold.

That said, the add-on prototype looks quality  

Based on the amount of plastic and the factory mark up on short/small production runs, this will likely be a $100 USD kit at retail. That plus the $200 price tag on Energon or YotS OS. You might as well buy Genesis, which is a VERY high quality figure and if you dig around a little you can still find them in the $300 range. Worth every penny. If don’t like the WFC design esthetic, and a lot of people don’t, you might as well just buy an actual Transformers Encore Omega Supreme which will actually cost LESS YotS OS plus an add on kit which people are still complaining is not G1 accurate. Amazon has it in stock right now for under $230 USD.

 

Got any good leads on Genesis? I wasn't aware it had become scarce already. :-(

 

I think this looks pretty damn good. As impressive as Genesis is, his proportions just don't blend as well with CHUG figures as the YOTS version does. This set really brings it up to a quality level

 

I'll admit that I think Energon Omega Supreme is a terrible mold, he never fit any of my desired aesthetics and like much of the same line looked like an enormous clunky mess to me, enough to keep me from buying any repaint/retool of him to date. (Yes that includes YotS OS.) However, this add on is managing to make the figure look amazingly appealing by giving it a proper and astounding base mode and an overall more engaging look in bot mode. The main draw for me however would still be the base mode because gods dammit I have a really huge fetish for combat starships and this set really strikes all the right spots on that front.

Robot Kingdom still has a few I think, Captured Prey is supposedly getting a restock in the near future.
