Wow I had totally blanked that from my memory! Makes more sense now. But yeah, at that size it isn't going to fit many other Autobots :/
That might be a better scale? Anybody got one to compare with MP-12 and MP-10?

I have that set, and I might be able to post pictures later, but I think it's probably far too small for anything in the Masterpiece line.

As useless as such a head would be, I wanted this since being a kid. I don't know if I would pay 100 for it, but if I had a detailed, damaged Unicron head, I would hang it in my room under the ceiling. That'd be cool! :D

I think it looks great despite the hate from the usual naysayers.

It's very size accurate to when he wore it in the cartoon.

Also, if you go back and watch that episode, the rocket pack clearly mass shifted off screen from when Sideswipe took it off to when jazz stuck it onto Prime's back. (gotta love animation errors)

Besides, it's not like somebody couldn't just reverse engineer the Rocket Pack and make one for the MP Lambor molds by shrinking it down. :p

It's going to be interesting to see just how many people repaint theirs to be red with White Thrusters. :lol

Yeah if you can. Guess if it's G1 Prime size it's more likely to scale with MP-12 than MP-10, but if it's anywhere near I'd like to see how it looks. I just checked the Dinobot Island clip and Prime, Warpath, Perceptor, Beachcomber, Smokescreen, Trailbreaker and Ironhide all slip on that same jetpack. So getting a scale that fits all those guys (especially minibots!) would be quite the challenge :lol

That main image definitely brought back a memory of that scene:

    "My rocketpack?"

    "NOW!"

(then again, could the rocketpack scene have been slightly-homaged in the 'Get out of the car' scene in 2007's 'Transformers?').

That... looks pretty nice. Just wish I had an action stand that could deal with MP-10's heft.

Now can some-party get on giving us an accurate blaster for this dude?

seriously as cool as the folding gun gimmick is, the blaster is just WAY too damn small. I use the Mp-04 blaster (which itself was a tiny tiny bit small for mp-01) which is only slightly oversized looking on mp-10. Its grey though so not ideal. you'd think there would be a market for this!?

Yeah, a little too big. Considering it's actually Sideswipe's rocket pack and all...

Put me down as another vote for a slightly bigger gun!

Overall looks nice, my only complaint is that when looking at Prime from the front you see the tip jetpack is hollow. Maybe they should make the edge solid so it hides the hollow. If Sideswipe can also use this jetpack, then I'm mostly I'm, assuming they'll modify the edge of jetpack too.

Yeah, this might have some merit if it was interchangeable with Sideswipe. But as it stands, I don't see much interest in an accessory Prime borrowed for one episode.

A whole bunch of people actually. You should take a look at the multiple threads for MP Sideswipe. The size is just wonky though. I think I understand why Takara didn't go for it.

Yeah this is stupid. I personally don't care for one-shot homages at all.

lol innit. Ppl go nuts for Sideswipes piledrives yet hate on this?

Meh, I dig it and like the little nods to the cartoon. For the compatibility for 'swipe and Prime surley they could just hinge some pieces on a smaller pack then extend for Prime? Especially as the inside is hollow so the extended pieces could easily be hidden/folded inside for Sideswipe to wear. Or am I being too simple here?

The Japanese version looks more like the one in Dinobot Island part 2, yet goes with the Takara Prime who is more like the G1 toy Prime than the Hasbro Sunbow cartoon version. Pre-ordered the Japanese version for my Hasbro Prime. Sweet.
