Alright- given how fragmented all the discussion has been getting, ESPECIALLY given we've now got two reveals at once, I figured we needed a one-stop shop for f(x) news that's easy to check.

And thus, this Megathread. My plan is to keep all of the information in one place here, and keep the first post updated with news, as I'm seeing a lot of repeated discussion in the X2 and X3 threads with people bringing up both figures interchangeably. Even though this isn't a combiner, it IS an entire related subline with a unified theme/gimmick/aesthetics where most of us are going to be buying all the figures, I imagine.

Whoa, how on earth did I miss Weirdwolf's and Brainstorm's robot modes?

As long as you keep the first post update, this will be a very good thread. I'm a big fan of separate threads for each toy, but this can work as well :)

I'm speculating about the wolf head in bot mode. It seems like it tucks into the chest cavity! I can't see it peeking out the back from these front 3/4 shots(could just be hidden) but WOW if they were able to eliminate/hide it in bot mode!

If you look between the alt and bot modes you can see the chest faces down on the wolf mode and there is no hinge at the top of the wolf where the neck meets the body, sooo I'm really curious how it collapses.

Might be wishful thinking but after the fun and creative transformation on F/X Chromedome, I can't help but get excited.

Not mention the genious way the thighs are the waist of the wolf turned sideways!! Cool! Arggh! Can't wait to get this guy in hand.

Bot mode is super tough looking!

They JUST went up tonight, along with more Stunticon pics. Including prototypes of the other two Stunticons as well as final colors on the ones we've seen.

This is exactly why I made a Megathread in the first place - it's getting damn confusing to keep track of everything, so some organization's needed. And given I'm keeping up on these threads pretty closely, this way I can just link to pertinent posts/news stories in the first post so people can actually keep track of what's new at a glance.

(That, and make it easier for the mods to keep track of everything new too.)

Main reason I'm grouping them all is that I'm noticing a LOT of bleedover in conversation re: Weirdwolf/Brainstorm. Plus, this is a whole subline.

And my plan is indeed to keep the first post up to date.

Ok. Well before everyone gets too hyped, the rest should have wider distribution.

Resin protos can make almost anything look good....but robot modes do look promising .

Super innovative transformations on both these guys. Brainstorm's wings collapse entirely into his calves, by the looks of things.

Weirdwolf has all that crazyness going on with his legs, and the forepaws as hands is kinda interesting.

So true - though if the past is any indication, FansProject resin photos don't tend to lose much of their awe-inspiring detail in translation to the toy.

And I fully expect Code to see a rerelease of some kind, now that people are getting hyped.

The only thing I don't love is the (seeming) continuation of limited articulation.
Shoulders and ankles (on WW) look limited again, as well as Weirdwolf's hands. But hey, once again we seem to get virtually kibble free headmasters with very interesting transformations, so it's all good.

What about Weirdwolf's hands? He has wrist (well, forearm) swivels.

Or are we going to start complaining when TFs don't have tilting wrists now as well?

Looking at Brainstorm, I have to say -it looks like he has toe tilts, anyway.

His toes are at a different angle than the rest of his feet in those pics. And the transformation makes it possible, too, looking at the images.

Thumb is huge, hand is a paw that seems to only go in and out. Pretty useless point of articulation.
I guess I shouldn't have mentioned it, since any complaint against a FP product, however minute the complaint is - and however much praise you surround the complaint with, will get depreciated.
    My apologies.
    Yup, his looks great.

I know, it's annoying. :(  But he's really tempting otherwise. And the legs/feet ... they confound me. His feet are obviously his wingtips, but it doesn't look like there's partsforming, and it doesn't look like the wings fold over the legs. Maybe they fold inside the legs?

But what I really wanna see is Mindwipe.

One thing to point out re: "Character X has a mouth/no mouth/US cartoon-inaccurate feature" - the entire gimmick of this toyline revolves around removable heads.

I will be VERY surprised if nobody decides to do custom Headmasters for these guys. It's an easy bandwagon market. Heck - if Headrobots can rework the G1 animal designs, I'd love to buy a Cobra scaled for these bodies that's compatible.

EDIT: Also, re: Brainstorm's legs, it looks like the wings fold in half and then collapse into the lower legs to me. VERY ingenious.

It strikes me that, much as I love FansProject's other lines aesthetically, I don't know if I can think of any other third party lines with transformations this amazing. Most of them are fairly standard in how they operate, with kibble - these ones are being designed around minimizing the kibble as much as possible and it shows.

Outside of the Masterpiece line and the occasional Hasbro release, I don't know if we've seen anything quite so effective in making kibble just disappear. MP-10 and MP-09 are probably the best examples of this that I can think of, really.

Yeah, going along with the hearsay, that sort of innovative engineering work, with completely unique mechanisms leading way to virtually kibble-free robot modes is definitely a JizaiToys hallmark.

His slight tendency for form over articulation, as well, hence the seeming hesitation to break up the shoulder designs for more outward movement.

I like WW paw hands. Gives him more of a beast trait. Not every bot needs humanoid hands. And to me WW looks like he does have ankle tilts. Its not ball jointed but the way the feet is connected to the legs it looks like there is up and down movement as well as side to side.
