Looking at the silhouettes, it looks like Brainstorm's guns can store on his back, giving him a winged look. That's pretty cool.
oh, it's also pretty blatant in the drawing. Missed that.

I need to get myself one of these. They look amazing. Saw them for the first time at TFcon but I wasn't sure. I'm probably going to get Weirdwolf, his botmode looks great.

Looks like shoulder articulation is crap on these next 2 as well... that's really unfortunate as that was my biggest complaint with Code.

They did add ankle tilts to Brainstorm, so they have my attention again. Shoulder articulation didn't really bother me as much as the other issues.

I'm down for Weirdwolf regardless of ankle tilts due to nostalgia purposes. I keep squinting at the picture and I think I see the joint that could be an ankle tilt, but I'm thinking he'll be more like Code in that department. I'm definitely watching again Fans Project.

So far, Code has been the only disappointment...so it might be a matter of just replacing him and hoping another third party does him.

As Headmasters, I definitely prefer faceplates. However...
Code's Headmaster has a piece move to cover his eyes in robot mode and thus eliminating any serious Head-mode kibble.

Looking at the WW and Brainstorm Headmaster units, there are pieces in between the face and the outer part of the head. I think those move out to cover the eyes and mouth. It appears much more noticeable in on Arcana. If this is true, the open faced mouths will not be an issue at all for me.

As for the wolf's head hiding in WW robot mode, I agree. You can see the chest piece on the underside of the wolf mode, and everything above that line is gone in robot mode. The torso in robot mode also appears wider than in wolf mode. I think the sides pop out, the top w/ canopy lifts up and we flip the wolf head back into the body and pop the canopy back into to place to lock it. There are small pieces next to the wolf neck and attached to the sides that appear to fold in to be flush with the base for the Head in robot mode. There is even a slightly visiable space in the sides that appears to match up for where these pieces to slide into. We need a top down shot!

If you look at the CAD renders... all the headmasters appear to have the same gimmick & transformation that hides the eyes on the back. Unfortunately, looks like the mouths & noses are still on the back.

These new guys look significantly better than Code. I do like Code, but I do have complaints about him. These guys are looking fairly impressive though. I personally prefer the Japanese Headmasters cartoon heads. So I don't mind the face on "brainstorm" instead of a faceplate. I'd prefer a face over a faceplate on any Hardhead as well. I do wish "brainstorm" had his shoulder wings though.

I wasn't a fan of Code and with the new pics Brainstorm looks like more of the same. Wierdwolf looks good though and wil be bought as long as no random color choices are thrown in.

On the FansProject website, below the group silhouette pic it says "f [x] = combin ( F9 , J12 )".

Are these guys supposed to combine?

That looks more like a script error that should be invisible but showed up.

Both look absolutely stunning and are proof positive of why this line is my major focus for 2013. I love that they took one of the most simple Headmasters (Brainstorm, who was nearly as easy as a jumpstarter) and gave him a transformation so clever that I can't figure it out from looking at photos. Can't wait to see better shots of the heads!

Hopefully BBTS will get those preorders active soon.
I've been refreshing those pages for four days now.

Man I really wish they would put up some preorders soon! I don't think I've been this excited for a toy line in quite some time. Ever since FP came out with City Commander I've been wishing for someone to do a 3rd party headmaster. I have always loved the Powermaster and Headmaster Transformers (not so much the targetmasters). Steelcore did scratch that itch for a while, but Code was just what I was waiting for. I really hope they do a Hardhead and Highbrow.

SOooo sad... I'm a really huge FP fan... but with all the other companies stepping it up lately, I might have to pass on these guys & sell my Code. I think it's the head-to-body proportions... these bodies are just too small... it totally throws off the whole look, no matter how "innovative" the transformations are. *sigh*

These are quickly turning into my most anticipated figures of the year. I mean...I thought Code was all sorts of amazing but it looks like he's the weakest figure of the bunch. I'll definitely be picking these bad boys up, even if I have to put a kidney on the black market to do it lol.

Damn you FP. I am a huge fan of Headmasters. Got complete set of Decepticon Headmasters and Jr. Headmasters (my brother's got the Bots) and I won't be able to resist these. Need to start budgeting for them cuz there are a lot of 3P toys this year. May have to put off the MP Soundwave for now. :(
