That would be sweet.

I was never a fan of the classics seekers. They're just too small and not well thought out (you have to remove the null rays to move the arms, the wings get in the way of articulation, ect). A seeker and conehead repaint of TFC Eagle would be a much better alternative as far as classics go. Hell, I'm happy with my MP seekers and iGear Coneheads, but if TFC did a repaint, I'd be tempted. I won't lie.  

 

TFC's Herc bots stand quite well with Hegemon... in fact, if I had Hegemon and Giant... I'd keep the Herc bots in a display with Hegemon... and Giant to stand with the FP Gestalts.

(Because really, the Herc bots look leagues better than the Giant ones... but the Giant gestalt's still pretty good.)

 

I've found that he scales quite well with Sonicron and the FP insecticons.

 

Oh dear sweet Christ, I would buy the hell out of Eagle-retooled Seekers.

G1ish, Voyagerish Seekers is all I want. Use them with Hegemon, FOC Soundwave, and Hercules crew. Leave FOC Shockwave on Cybertron where he belongs to hang out with the other pre-Earth deluxes.

All would be well if this happened. The OCD scale voices in my head would be quieted.

 

for hegemon use the fp insectininjas, hercules bots or hercules, pe reflector... the tfcc runas, and bludgeon. that is all. oh perfect effect rumble/frenzy too...

 

No doubt many here would. TBH though, I'd love to see Has/Tak do it in the near future... Only need to do pretty much what TFC did... resize, add a few bits of articulation here and there... done. Would do our collective wallets a huge favor.

 

Absolutely, that would be ideal. I'd even settle for an upsized version of Starscream's FOC mold. I just don't know how well that'd fit in to Hasbro's current plans. (Voyager Soundwave/Blaster notwithstanding, as they have their gimmick to justify the size)

 

Whoever said that HFTD Bludgeon is aesthetically out of place forgot that this is the 3rd Party Forum. My Bludgeon with Maiden Japan armour and Headrobots head and swords begs to differ. My crappy photography doesn't do it justice.

I just opened my Eagle and put him next to FOC Soundwave, and there's a hell of a size difference.

Now, I don't have Hegemon yet, so someone correct me if I'm missing something, but it seems like these two pictures can't possibly both be accurate.

 

That is the voyager Soundwave mold, you may be thinking of the deluxe WfC one.

I don't have Eagle, but I think you're right. The Analbots are supposed to be the same size as Herc bots and Hegemon is a good amount bigger than the Herc bots.

 

It's not a complete dealbreaker, but the three of them (Hegemon, Eagle, FOC Soundwave) are definitely not gonna be looking eye-to-eye.

 

It's how you have Eagle transformed. Put the thrusters in the alt position and adjust the footplates accordingly.



And god damn is that Soundwave big. My interest in FoC Grimlock just shot up.

That is voyager Soundwave and both pics are right. If TFSource would ever ship my Eagle, I could put all 3 together for you. Anyway, for the last couple of months my hegemon has been standing alone as nothing looked right to me. FOC Soundwave voyager keeps him company now.

That is a noticeable difference though. There must be some perspective fiddling going on in that Hegemon-Eagle shot from above. It's a shame, but this isn't too bad. It'll look okay with Hegemon, but FoC Soundwave looks a bit too bulky and about half a head too tall. But that'd be perfection, which is damn hard to achieve. I'm sure this set up will suit most wonderfully; definitely a large improvement over the classics Seekers!


It's funny how much the booster heels change the look of Eagle. The figure's posture changes quite a bit by using them, gives a very seeker-like vibe.

I would like to see what Eagle looks like with a Seeker retool. Though I almost hope they do not do one because I own 20+ of the classics mold and I would buy at least 13 of a hypothetical retool between the Seekers, Coneheads, Rainmakers, Clones, and Sunstorm.

Hell keep making recolors and slight retools and as long as they kept making trines I will buy them.

Could be an even bigger money maker then the Arielbots.
