It s the last picture that prompted me to order..

 

I posted someplace way back, but I'm not really sure at all. The problem for me is that their last product was really badly received, so I see a LOT of skepticism about the quality of this one meeting expectations. Partly because of that, the reception seems very lukewarm, which makes this a very dangerous and expensive item to be laying out a lot of cash for.

If the feedback starts coming in proving it's the bee's knees, and I can get them then, then sure, why not.

 

Well I will be getting it for sure. The only question is when...whether from an online retailer or out of some dude's hotel room at BotCon.

 

Taller than MP-10 prime wow, I like the trailer portion it looks awesome the robot mode not as much for some reason. I wish they could spend more time working on the bot mode so it would be as cool as the trailer. I guess they don't have forever to perfect everything.

 

That's MP-01 actually, not MP-10. Given the pose of MP-01 I think they're about the same height, rather than MP-01 being shorter.

 

I wonder if they'll make a God Bomber add-on if this one's well received.

 

I highly doubt it since the arms already have the God Ginrai armor. Not to mention they designed it specifically so you could attach the original God Ginrai chest.

 

I really wish the trailer was gray. That *might* make it look a little bit like a trailer. As it stands, it looks like the Prime cab is just towing Prime's body.

 

I love it. Put some repro stickers on it and it will look awesome!

 

This guy looks funky and off. I agree with the statement above, the trailer mode is weak and totally looks like the cab is pulling Prime's body.

 

I see people complaining about the trailer not being very functional. City Commander is less functional and is a partsformer. How come it gets a free pass?

 

Wasn't the lukewarm reception also due to bad QC on their part? I recall Peaugh's review of this thing and he wasn't all too happy with it(Though he was more fond of it then Airachnid.).

Have you ever pulled a trailer? City commander can't even turn, has no base mode, and the BFG is left over garbage. Ultra Magnus was a car carrier. City Commander's trailer fails in many ways...but I still love it and it's variations and the fact it connects to the G3 trailer. Which I imagine xovergen's being able to do as well.

 

I find the alt mode more appealing than the bot mode...

IDK... I think the trailer's just monster sized in bot mode... I mean the same height as MP-01 is massive. He's standing with Gestalts and no one else... but um... G1 Gestalts are barely his height... and he'd look awkward amongst recent 3rd Party offerings... Aesthetically it's also slavishly G1... to a fault methinks. Like the Classics Optimus figure looks quite out of place. That head is especially um... blech...

 

I agree. Neither trailer is G1 accurate nor real-world accurate.

 

God Ginrai was as tall as gestalts...so the height is actually decent.

 

City Commander gets a free pass because it looks great in combined mode. Trailerforce looks like ass.

 

I know for sure I won't keep it in trailer form.
