This thing's proportions have always looked bad. It's legs are just too damn small.

the blatant re-use of official transformers parts bugs me too. Parts of RID Magnus' bumper can be seen on the back, and pretty much all of it's leg detail comes from Cybertron Optimus Prime's legs. Not to mention everything taken directly from the original Powermaster Optimus Prime.

I have fiddled with a sample unit at a local specialty shop. He feels abit light but the joints and peg holes were tight as hell. Especially the thighs. Some caution should be exercised there. Other than that the plastic quality is passable and I have tried it on a commemorative powermaster prime. Fits well.

Head seems to be interchangeable with original PM Prime head. Interesting...

I'm seeing a lot of similarities when looking at parts, but no actual matches like you seem to see...

For example, there's one detail that looks a lot like the detail just below Cybertron Prime's knee, but not exactly, and it's much further down the leg, without any of the other detail from that toy being present.

Probably took some design cues from those toys is all. Are you planning on carrying these if the reviews are good and response is positive?

If someone make some side covers (a top cover) and they also can form ramps for the base mode then that will help it a great deal - it may need some new rear wheels too.

The lack of the grey side pieces - to me - means it just looks like an Optimus cab hauling Armada Overload.

On top of that, to me it's an also an articulated Powermaster Prime that doesn't look half bad

Let's see if xovergen or other 3rd party does the apex armor for this set as well. I think there is a good potential for it.

Lack of Poweremaster for Classics Prime kills it for me.

Still not feeling it. The upper body actually looks ok, but those legs are just far too thin. I understand wanting to increase articulation, but you can still do that while keeping the chunky legs.

This. Powermaster Prime does not wear skinny jeans.

This would be mine if they released an exclusive fire guts repaint with god bomber.

I bet some folks would eat it up if they came out with a nucleon quest version too.

I'd like some other deco, hell, a smaller version for FOC magnus/optimus would be cool too.

He looks decent enough from the front...but turn him sideways and proportions look kinda weird..
