Are there any plans to release that in more of an Ultra Magnus color sceme?

 

The set looks so good on the Gift Set Hero Optimus figure.   It does make a good subitute for those who don't have SG Magnus and can't afford him.

My preferred configuration of the wings and weapons in vehicle mode. Not into the X-wing look, but I do really like this. Reminds me of a vehicle from a top-down arcade space shooter  .

 

I think you'll find MT is done with the figure once they've released their 5th version of it. Besides we have two great looking third party Magnus' on the way; Transformazing's FoC take (that requires the deluxe FoC Magnus toy) and KFC's more G1 version not to mention the official MP.

Bought these guys on a whim (sale), and very glad I did! I love how they make a perfect little siege team.

 

Have you seen my username? Do not lecture me on extra Magns toys   theFoc version sucks, and KFCs is a differant nitch. I want that design in UM colors not something else

 

I wasn't lecturing just figured since you asked you may not have known about them. Strange that you've no interest in either since I figure both are unique enough and alongside the mp pretty much every version of Magnus a person could want is happening aside from I guess some intensely IDW accurate version perhaps.

So what you want a classics Magnus like that or something? well no one is making that yet and a version of him derived from MT's very loosely magnus-ish figure would only be a slight repaint with a new head I suspect of the dia armor set which I really can't see them bothering with especially with three companies, including Takara, directly competing in the future.

 

You don't like Transformazing's armor for the FOC toy? FOC toy itself is a dinky little thing unworthy of the House of Magnus (no offense, Miniminimus), but aside from Transformazing bailing on the trailer part, I thought the armor upgrade looked pretty good--tho I've only really seen the renders on sites like BBTS. I think it could use some more red in the mix (torso, launchers on the shoulders, etc), and would hope the fists have 5mm holes for weapons instead of the solid fists from the renders... and depending on the size, I think KFC's could be an excellent addition to Classics.

That said, tho, the Battle Tanker in UM colors would be pretty sweet.

 

Wasn't being serious there, I would like KFCs, I would love it. It kinda sucks seeing this look so cool with so many repaints except the really obvious one, to me anyway....I'm tempted to get it and repaint as a stand alone shelf piece, I love it that much.

it would require me to buy that awful excuse of a toy from Hasbro, and I just can't support that...and I can't see hor that flimsy of a toy with zero rachets could hold up in armour

 

Not sure that'll be much of an issue except with the hip joints. The armor pretty much replaces everything else; the arms are completely new, the FOC bot's legs are folded up, feet becoming the front of the thighs, while the armor adds completely new shins & feet.

Really the worst thing about these seems to be the price; I'd have preordered already, probably, if they were $90 for the trailer AND armor. Seems a bit steep just for the armor (especially with no new weapons; a rifle like the City Commander add-on had would be excellent to see). Eh. Might do it after it's actually released (if it ever is) and reviewed. If not, I'll just get KFC's or bite the bullet on a City Commander set.

 

Darn sure that these suckers would've sold much better with a more G1-friendly deco... and if the accessories they sported were as fun/varied as the miniature PE bots.
