Brainstorm didn't have a faceplate in Headmasters over in Japan. Likewise, Chromedome had eyes in said cartoon rather than the visor he had in the US Rebirth fiction. And worst case, these are HEADMASTERS. Aka guys designed around the gimmick of putting different heads on their bodies. Somebody will make alternate heads if it's not FP themselves.
Only biting if they include alternate heads specifically to make them look more MTMTEish. Although I won't hesitate for a millisecond when they get around to Gatormus Prime
<shrug> Those were the first two Headmasters I got as a kid - like them for the nostalgia. Forgot about the Toyworld Hardhead though. If these are 90 bucks a pop like Assaulter, though, there's no way I can even think about it, ugh. Maybe FP can work some 'economies of scale' magic and get their price down a bit.
Those are probably going to be the first two Stunticons. The four limbs were said to be Causality releases, with Motormaster being a Crossfire release. And I'm glad that the design concepts for these have still been evolving since we last saw them. Wasn't quite feeling them before, just a little too blocky looking. But the updated artwork for Chromedome has far more dynamic proportions. Looks good.
Wouldn't the reverse make more sense? Explorer and Munitioner were Crossfire and they are limb-bots. Motormaster is theoretically a stand alone guy, he could be casuality. Not that it matters, i just want them all.
I'm looking forward to these, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't 110% more excited for their Menasor. That being said, Fansproject told us the first two would be out this month. I had my doubts, and considering that we've heard nothing since TFcon (if I'm remembering correctly), it doesn't look like we'll be seeing them any time soon. I'd be interested to know what the order of releases will be like. Will they release parts of their Menasor with the Function-X figures interweaved between those releases, or are they going to do one whole line, then the other? I presume it's probably the former, considering the stuff we've seen (granted, I didn't go to TFcon, which seemed to imply that Chromedome would be first, even though that CAD of Minerva seems a lot more complete), but that seems a little odd for a third-party company. Oh well, I'm still excited about more Fansproject stuff. I do love me some combiners and Headmasters, so they may as well just have my bank account while they're at it. They're two of my favourite Transformers gimmicks. Apart from, you know, the transforming part.
My g1 transformers love really only applies to the first few seasons. Headmasters don't really mean much to me, so little in fact that I had to google them up to remind me what they were. No issue with them being made, but like TCJJ, just hope these dont get wedged in front of Menasor, which I'm excited to see.
Chromedome means way more to me than any of the Stunticons, so I'm eager to see more. -ZacWilliam,toy proto pic please.
Ditto, but I'll add that any of these means way more to me than any of the Stunticons. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad they're making the Stunticons and I hope people get to see more of them soon, but I have almost zero interest in them. Always found the original toys boring, and the updates look equally boring to me. But that's why it's great that FP can work on many projects at once. Plenty of variety to please each of our personal preferences. Considering those are my two favorite Headmasters outside of Fort Max, I am inclined to agree with you.
