I'm about to go and pre-order this. The only thing that's holding me back is a remote possibility of TakaTomy releasing MP Shockwave somewhere down the road... but if that ever happens I'll have two MP Shockwaves anyway.

Exactly. I often wonder how much better video reviews in general would be if they did any editing whatsoever. I really don't need them to leave the camera running while they go look for another toy or cough for fifteen seconds.

Disclaimer: This isn't directed at any reviewer in particular. Most of them do it. It drives me bananas because I used to be a videographer. It does not make them bad people and I am not making fun of them, it means they didn't have much video production training.

The comparison I want to see is Quakewave standing next to G1 Shockwave. I want to know if it is much bigger than the original. I'd prefer keeping it the same size.

 

G1 shockwave is pretty much MP sized. If anything quake wave will be the same size or slightly taller.

 

A lot of them do edit videos, but subtly. I know Optibotimus at least edits to get the right kind of light on the video (if I remember correctly), and he also often has cuts when his hands aren't in the shot, so we don't notice it as easily.
Gotta agree with you as well though, there are a lot of reviewers who are guilty of the things you mention, and more.
But that's the best thing about this video review craze. Tons of different styles out there, so you're bound to find someone you enjoy.

 

Which is why I want to see the two next to each other. Are they the same OR is Quakewave taller? I wouldn't consider getting it if he can't be used in a a Classics collection.

 

I think you'll be hard-pressed trying to fit Quakewave into a Classics collection given how he's a little taller than the MP Seeker mold (based on pictures of him standing next to Acoustic wave).

 

FT-03 is a little bit taller than G1 shockwave, If you wanna display with your classics collection, you may have to wait for our mini version (voyager size)of quakewave which will be released in next year. We have a Mp level project before that.
