The size of the box surprised me too.

It's because Quakewave is packed with his legs collapsed.

I'm glad they are minimizing the size of their boxes, especially with their larger bots like QW. I'm happy to see that Maketoys is adopting this approach with their ReMaster boxes as well. Big empty boxes simply take up too much space. Hopefully Fanstoys, XTB, TT, and Hasbro start doing the same thing with the boxes of their bigger bots. MP Soundwave and Seekers should have come packaged in alt mode in a much smaller boxes.

Not Hasbro, a big box create the illusion of a bigger toy.

Ok is it just me or is the clear hose just a bit creepy, in an HR Giger kinda way?
Very much looking forward to getting mine this week, but I do wonder if the hose is gonna be history as soon as it arrives

Edit: the hose has been relegated to the depths of the box forevermore, just horrible

In hand (the most used two words on this site) , QW maybe isn't the most elegant figure, but really loving the clear colourway, he's going to look great next to Ghost Starscream  :rip

Are there any video reviews of this guy FT-03C ? White clear plastic pics against a white background don't really give it justice.

They are mostly packed away I'm afraid, only clear and grey in my cabs right now. He is a beauty though, really solid, I was nervous about clear plastic but no problems there - would describe as more like a crystal version than plain old see through. He looks solid, like a real tough working shockwave figure that would kick your ass in a fight, he just happens to absorb and reflect light. Like an ideal special edition, in fact, not for everyone, but will delight you if you laid down the money.

Fans Toys Quakewave Arm Light Question

So I can't seem to get my arm light to stay lite...it'll go on, then off, then stay on for a bit, then if shaken it'll go off. Etc, etc...

So I opened it up, and this is what it looks like:

Is the black wire supposed to be connected to something?

edit: apparently it is, every time I touch the end of the black wire to the contact next to the one where the red one connects to, it works. hmmmmm...

    Time to solder?

You need to solder that wire back to the switch. If you don't have an soldering iron, they aren't that expensive and I've found that I've needed one more than a few times over the years of collecting.

Also, merging this with the main QW thread.

    Thanks for moving appropriately.

Ok since posting that, both wires snapped off now. lol

Not sure what goes where now.

Also, I have a soldering iron, but none of the soldering wire.

    ANY help is appreciated:

    WOW, super informative photo. lol

however, I can only seem to get it lit when I touch the ends in a different combination.

    As seen here:

Click the switch ;)  Then it "should" work. otherwise you're just bypassing it. I'm glad you like my MS paint skills :D .

I must be doing something incorrectly, still can't get it.

edit: will I need soldering wire to do this?

the red wire goes to the switch, the black wire goes to the battery compartment. I opened mine up to verify. putting the black wire to the switch would do nothing as the ground side of the LED is being connected to the positive wire.
