Just an FYI, I dropped a line to Fans Toys to ask if they were willing to send a sample for review so any concerns about quality can be allayed. They said they are, but didn't say exactly when it would be ready. Once it arrives, I'll go over it and take some pics, as well as have someone who normally does reviews have a crack at it.

To be fair, Captured Prey never carried the iGear Seekers either. I know because I asked him if he would and he said wasn't because of them being more or less stolen molds from Takara. Which is fine, but probably also explains why BBTS never picked them up, as many have already speculated.

So, don't go assuming something like a Takara MP Shockwave just because a retailer isn't carrying it. BBTS didn't carry Hegemon either and I still don't see a new MP-Megatron.

We'll see about the reviewer chosen. I actually have a few possibilities in mind, starting with one person who specifically asked about the possibility of doing exactly this.

 

Im not assuming anything , im more or less taking a gamble that TT wont come out with him ( just yet ). As far as Hegemon is concerned , he was never going to be a MP.

 

Alright. This is looking good now, in the new pics. Legs look a lot better, and if there's hope for new pieces for the arm, to get that under slung cable look, well that's pretty awesome.

Any good places for Canadians to buy? (i.e. "gift"/customs, all that nonsense?)

Well it looks like I will be selling off my junked G1 Soundwave that I was planning to convert. Whatever happened to the Blaster that FanToys was making? Did that get canned like their Soundwave? I was actually looking forward to that.

 

Quake Wave is designated FT-03, Blaster is/was designated as FT-04 and expected to be released sometime in '13. Depending on how well FT-03 does, of course.

Also possible, I may very well loan it to a couple different reviewers to get a spread of opinions out there.

 

Just decided to bite, and put in an order at CP. Only two left there now.
The supposed official version is rumored to have a display backdrop of some sort (notice the words supposed and rumored), and I don't want to pay extra for something I'll never use. So the choice went with FT this time

Aaaaand one left at Captured Prey now; can't wait for this gorgeous hunk of plastic to show up at my doorstep. I haven't been this excited about upcoming releases in ages.
