Hey Sidecutter do you know when you will be receiving T Bone?

 

So has anyone seen or gotten their 2nd wave Quake Wave with the soild colored hand and gun arm? and if you have can you snap some pictures of what it looks like.

 

I might have pics later. I have to replace my screwdrivers first because someone stole them.

Seriously, who steals the resident tool guy's tools?

Also I just put Quakey next to MP Soundwave... One of them feels cheap, and it isn't purple.

I kind of know how you feel, I've been through it with my eBay store. I also know it can be hard finding good help. Just do what you can and don't drive yourself crazy. You're doing a great job as far as I'm concerned.

Me, too. I still want the solid hands for what ever reason. Completeness, I guess.

 

If they were cartoon colour they'd be better IMHO

 

humm looks like I'll be keeping the clear hands on my version those look a little too pinkish to me.

 

I've never ordered from Captured Prey and I'm sure I don't speak for everyone but communication like this goes a long way for me. I would never care about delays when there is good communication like this. Sure we all want our stuff as quick as possible but good customer service makes up for a lot.

With that said, I really hope there is a third wave of Quakewave and then I will have placed an order with Captured Prey.

 

G1 Toy is pink, and the G1 cartoon hands aren't always pink. Looks fine to me.

Rather than complain about the tint, why not just be ... wait for it... tickled pink ... that some fans with skillz cared enough to MAKE this so you could have it in your collection? Ya, I know, gratitude is difficult these days, so I'll do it for you.... FT, THANK YOU for making a great product, that is closer to animated G1 Shockwave than any other toy, but still pays a healthy respect to the original toy. You did wonders. Aces, Plastikrak, Captured Prey, etc, Thanks for supporting the little guy Third Party toy makers and hobbyists.

 

Well, they're opaque (solid) so...

 

I'm pretty sure the hands & gun are the same ones in the promo pics. Looks like it lights up out of the barrel.

just curious what was the beef with the clear hands/gun anyways? I love them because it kicksback to the toy which I was always taunted by at friends houses yet never owned myself. the hand and fingers are sturdy as hell too. crazy for it being that articulated. anyway, I really like them.

is it just a preference so it matches animation instead?

 

I'm not really complaining about the color if anything I'm grateful that we are getting a choice on what hands we want on this great looking figure.

 

When it comes to G1 MPs, there's always a preference between cartoon or toy accuracy. When something is toy accurate, people clamor for cartoon accuracy and vice versa (the former seemingly more so).

 

...pink hands are the bees knees. It shows Shockwave is in touch with his feminine side.

lol really? Why would I wait for corrections when I've done it myself? I am of the opinion that the opaque hands are still not cartoon accurate......I'm sorry my personal opinion affects your ass kissing....please accept my sincerest apologies. The figure is very good, there is no argument there......but (as stock) cartoon Shocky it ain't and it shouldn't be labelled as one.

I'm one of Quakey's biggest fans off the third party boards and shout it's praise wherever possible but it isn't perfect (in the cartoon aesthetic sense).



However.....subtle differences and he'd be a perfect cartoon representation......ignoring the none curvy legs of course.

And if that is what they looked like then they'd be spot on......but from the pics I've seen they aren't. Maybe it's the lighting, maybe I'll change my mind when other pics come flooding in.
