yeah i grew up in the 80s and have seen every episode more then 50 times each and predaking didnt show up in to many of the 80s episodes but when i saw this upcoming toy to me it looks almost like it jumped off the artists drawings lol I think ut has hit it right on the money with this set in my opinion of course. The only downfall i see to it so far is that it just might not be big enough to fit in with my collection since i mainly concentrate on masterpiece size figures and some g1 raritys. But for chug collectors or thirdparty collectors this one is the one to get pending quality first of course

 

Just seen the preorder on BBTS.Don't like how they made Divebomb the arm.

 

Could you elaborate? Do you mean you don't like the looks of the arm mode on this version, 'cos AFAIK Divebomb has always been Predaking's left arm....

Gonna be honest here....I'm kinda torn on this one. I really like the G1 accuracy of Razerclaw ( an hells yes to the shoulder cannons! ). Yet on the other side of the coin, I want my Predaking to be BIG. I think I'm gonna wait this one out an follow both company's closely to see which I prefer.

 

I thought he went on the back(never owned any version).Did the wings come off of the vintage version and attach to the back? Then its me not knowing the build of the vintage toy.I've always seen the wings on his back and thought the bird attached back there.

Really loving Divebombs wings, mmc's version just looks rediculous and way outta scale for divebomb ( dragging on the floor behind him) nice to know these won't be mini and should fit just with Hercules although probably better with giant. Like I said its divebombs design which is leaning me towards this set as he was always my favourite

 

I look at the updates for this and the MMC version. there are design elements that I really like from both and some cues that are meh on both. This is actually becoming a very hard decision since I only want one Predaking.

I may be waiting until both of these gestalts are finished and looking over some reviews before buying them. And that's saying a lot considering I have almost 1000 in preorders setting around among different companies for Classics and classic accessories.

 

@Crimson: Bear in mind, the impression that I got from the UT interview was that the first production run was so limited that they did not expect Divebomb to still be available by the time the fifth member was released.

(I might be reading more into that than they intended, mind you!)

this predaking has more of my attention more so then MMCs because we have seen more of the finish product(being that we know this is heavily based off of a kitbashers custom and the WIP pic currently floating around)..i have no doubt that MMCs will be killer, and i will own that ver as well... but as of late ive been constantly going back to the semi combine mode pics of this ver of pred... at first i was gonna hold off on getting this,(even tho i had a POd for warhawk as a place holder) but i find myself just as excited for this ver as i am for MMCs...probably more, since i have seen more of the finish product... IMO they must be doing something right..looking forward to having both in hand and seeing the differences..  

 

would like to see more pictures

 

price sucks on this, otherwise it rocks and I want both this and MMC.
