Man, Beachcomber was one of my fav toys to take around everywhere with me as a kid... I was soooo looking forward to what IGEAR had for us.. and uhmmm,..... that looks supppper weak :thumbdown

I mean, if they threw in a Toe pivet or something, them legs look like something off a $3.99 legion toy.. not very imaginative transformation.. ehhhh.. more money to keep in the bank i guess then..

Though the articulation is actually not bad. With the ball-joints in the right places, and assuming Gears has thigh rotation, it's all I really need. They're generally as good as Scouts/Commanders... and better than most Deluxes would have been 6 years ago. :)

I'm amazed everybody is so down on the Beachcomber figure... besides that foot, he looks pretty great.

MAYBE THEY CAN FIX THOSE FEET UP A LITTLE BIT THOUGH. EH? EH?

I've been hesitant about buying Hench and UFO, especially now that there seem to be issues with arms and display stands. And if they release UFO in more G1 colors like they did with Rager then that would be the one I really want. But I'm definitely getting Cogz. I'm loving that alternate face. My fond memories are of the Gears toy, not the animation character. And I don't care what size they make this guy. Hell, make one legends class, one deluxe, and one voyager class in the oversized KO style. I'll buy them all.

Oh I like these but I wish they were a little bigger/smaller. I also wish the other Miniwarriors were a little bigger/smaller. Why can't all toys be as big/small as I want? That's all there is to discuss. How big I personally think toys should be despite their size being in no way a surprise.

For real, though, Gears is adorable.

C'mon, Outback is needed so Generations Kup (with iGear head) has Fallback's dead corpse to talk to, IDW-style. XD

More....G1 colors...than what was released? (look at UFO AND G1 Cosmos) .....? I....Guess UFO could be a moderately darker shade of green.....? Thank you for reaffirming that there is no way to make everyone happy on the Internet.....even when you do things right.

I can't properly express how excited I am for these! Hench and UFO are incredible, but I think Duneraker/Beachcomber will ACTUALLY top them. I can't think of a single thing I would change, I'm just so grateful these are being released! Alt mode is sexy as hell, and the bot mode is ACE!! Really top notch stuff here. Also, this is the new (perfect) scale. Shut up and accept it!

I love these guys, I personally would not change a thing , I live the way beachcomber looks its a re invision of the guys, looks like a true hippy and I'm loving the wide arse rear tyres... As for scale I prefer this size, looks a lot better scaled with The pp05s. Gears looks incredible really liking the g1 vibe and bushwacker looks hard as nails, bring them on and take my wallet

The consensus with UFO seemed to be why wasn't it more G1 accurate, with Duneraker if they'd changed the transformation I'm sure people would have asked why.

    I agree / disagree.

    Trudat!

One thing I will add, is that the prototype pictures seem to be missing the winch for Outback!?! C'mon guys, it's clearly visible on the promo picture and the hole for it to plug into has been there since Hench. Please don't cheap out on this.

The Hench/UFO thread is filled with people saying they don't care for UFO's shade of green. It's the biggest criticism the toy gets. The color has grown on me, but it's nowhere even close to the color of the G1 toy.

Not really digging these. iGear was actually doing something interesting with the minibots, but their Gears and Beachcomber are just lazy and boring.

Right. A moderately darker shade of green. Like how they released a new Rager in a moderately darker shade of orange. It's not like I pulled the idea out of my ass.

UFO is nice, but if they're going to follow their pattern of repaints then why should I buy one now when there could be one in the pipeline I would rather have, and be willing to pay an exclusive premium for? Did I say Igear did anything wrong?

I'm pretty sure you're just getting on my case for the time I said too bad you don't have a 12th level mastery in silence. Get over it already.

I just opened my Hench yesterday and I'm thrilled with it. I will buy Cogz as soon as he is available.

I'll agree with everyone that says Beachcomber's empty legs suck. There seems to be plenty of upper leg meat to be able to work out a solution for that.

I kind of hope they do Bumblebee and Cliffjumper in this line too. I have never liked the classics version of that mold. I think the head on BB is absolutely perfect, but they just seem too big. I know it's pointless to bitch about scale because we have several options when it comes to collecting TF's (and it's impossible to make everyone happy anyway). I personally would love to see BB and CJ made in scout size and not so bulky. I think it would serve the characters a bit more as well. They've always been jr officers in my mind. So closer to Hench would be cool. :)

UFO does stand out a bit, when you consider how faithful Rager, Hench, Spray and Cogz are to the G1 toy minibot aesthetic. UFO's alt mode and overall style is much more "classics" I guess... though no complaints from me. I think he looks great.

ohhhhh... that explains the peg-hole in Hench's grill. He should have come with a small drill attachment for extra cartoon re-enactment fun. :)

Yes, the colours (especially the green) are off. On the other hand, the whole figure is "off", and very much for the better. I think the brighter colours are actually much better than his original colours, while still being close enough that it shouldn't be a big deal.

But I understand... I hate pale blue Thundercrackers, because the darker G1 toy version always looked better to me... some colours just carry more familiar weight.

I'm curious how these are any more "lazy and boring" than their previous figures? It seems like a pretty harsh assessment, considering you give no rationale.

I totally agree... a good scout-sized Bumblebee has been a conspicuous hole in Hasbro's assortment for a loooong long time now. It's almost amazing to think we don't have one by now, and if iGear jumped on this, we could actually have a proper VW-styled version.

Cliffjumper... I like him small, but I don't mind him being larger than Bee. I think Bee is really one of the major "relative scale" benchmarks for a Transformers collection. He really needs to be smaller than almost everyone.
