The new chest works well for DIA Magnus, but seems kinda unnecessary on SG Prime. Both look good and can't wait to get them.

That's an exclusive, and I don't really count that as an Ultra Magnus. And I'm not paying for any botcon exclusives. But you're right, technically it does exists  

 

I wonder if they're waiting on doing a trailer for RiD Scourge once more in-hand photos become available and they have an idea of its final color scheme?

If I ever pick up that SG G2 Optimus, I might be tempted by a SG trailer. I'd rather have any Diaclone-themed trailer reserved for the Classics Voyager toy rather than the Classics G2 Laser mold.

Funny, some news sites are reporting this as two recolors for SG. ONe is the TRU exclusive Gift Pack Optimus Prime, the other is Club Scourge. Neither is SG really. The KOs were for SG!

 

I don't see how the Red/Blue one could be for the Gift Pack. It has an Ultra Magnus head with skull looking face. That's def for Botcon SG Ultra Magnus.

 

This might be intended for SG due to the "skull" similarities you can faintly see ... but the colors are so damn close who knows what the retail release of Hero Prime will look like.

How is a black armor "obviously SG" for Purple Optimus and not for black Scourge?

 

Its pointless to even explain but I'll go ahead. Just a few reasons: The armor is purple,not black. The deco is nowhere even close to any version of Scourge. If you look at SG G2 Prime, the layout is the exact same.

 

Okay, looking at it, it seems this Maketoys blue toys one does have a SG head. Still, it the head in the main difference between SG Magnus and Blue Optimus. You could use this set to turn Blue Optimus into a SG Magnus.

Still, I don't see the Black one as SG Optimus. It looks like Scourge. Not that I own EITHER figure.
