The more I look at the pics, the more I realize that what is truly drawing me to this over Hercules is the head. Far as I can tell the only difference to Hercules is that the visor is blue, but whether its just an overall aesthetic thing or not, the head on Perseus just looks loads better to me than Hercules.

If I had my druthers I think I would buy green and yellow giant and then this and Uranos and leave Hercules out of it, but that is probably because I kind o f hate the color purple in general.

To me, I really like the look of, but for me to buy it would have needed 7 new heads - then it would be a purchase!

I just noticed that in the second pic where they used the Rage set, they also used the guns to expand the chest shield.

Shattered Glass is so 2008. I've come to see it for what it is: an excuse for everyone to reuse their molds and milk more money out of us. No thanks.

FYI - All Botcon toys are recolored molds. Have been from the beginning. Remember Onyx Primal? Packrat? Sentinel Maximus? Megazarak? Every otcon toy is a recolor of some existing mold. So why is this different?

I understand Botcon convention exclusives. They often recolor a mold and include a new head, bringing us a character that would otherwise be passed over by HasTak. Shattered Glass has become rather tiresome in that it is nothing more than repaints of characters who have already been done. What is really making it wear out its welcome is the fact that the trend is now moving to the 3rd parties and groups like eHobby. I'll admit that SG was good as a one-off concept in 2008, but it has gotten really, REALLY old by 2012.

I can hear planners at this company now. "Can you believe these suckers will buy FOUR color variants of the same toy? Green, yellow, orange, and now this? Amazing!"

    Welcome to Transformers.

I don't buy for MOLDS. I buy for CHARACTERS, and these are new characters.

SG is a better excuse to repaint a toy that Hasbro ususally uses... "I got it! New Battle Stripes Bumblebee... um... Bumblebee painted stripes on himself before he went into battle!"

I'd much have a heroic/evil mirror universe character, than the same character with a paint job!

Tempting...but I'll hold off first. Really don't think I can find space to fit another such figure, esp when there are other combiners that's in the pipeline.

You have a point there. I'm sick of seeing untold numbers of Bumblebee variations clogging up the pegs.

Yeah this looks absolutely fantastic. I'm not going to buy it, because I have no interest in Shattered Glass, and for the amount of money this would run me I don't want to buy something that doesn't fill any sort of role in my collection...but it's really tempting, because I don't have Hercules in any form, just Giant, and I kind of would like to have both molds...ugh...

Man, that is pretty cool. No chance I'd get it (cost prohibitive and all that), but I like what is going on here. Reversing the arms/legs is something I never noticed previously.

I wonder if they'll get the full set done for under $500? Has pricing showed up yet?

I hope for a EHobby repaint of G1 Devastator in Shattered Glass colors.

The only reuse is the name and sometimes the mold.

SG heroic Decepticon Treadshot is a different mold, color scheme and character to the evil Decepticon Universe 1.0 Treadshot.

And yet some people find this 'boring' solely because he reuses a name (which is pretty common).

The more I look at this, the more I want it. I really need to resist the urge through I think.

I bet if they had released this version first like MT did, they'd have sold more of this mold overall. On a related note: don't even think about pulling that crap with Computron, MT.... Please spare my wallet.
