These new colors, from their picture, are almost exactly the G1 colors. Pretty sure these will come with combiner parts since these are being brought out to match the asia exclusive reissue.

 

Interesting. This new Swindle's colors are much more accurate to that of the original toy, though the original Blastoff was better in that regard. Think I'm going to have to pick up the new Swindle.

G1 Blastoff was a very dark brown color. The FP recolor does look greenish but some angles he does look brown.

 

Good point. Just checked a pic of G1 Blast-Off, and the colors on it do appear to match more closely with those of the reissue:

Appears that both of the Munitioner and Explorers reissues are based off of G1 toy colors, then.

Not only that, but it appears that the reissues have more paint detailing (the crotch sections on both 'bots, and the shoulder and chest sections of Munitioner). The additional paint detailing seems to be an attempt to match the G1 toys' stickers.

Seems like a no-brainer, then. Definitely will order. Now I don't mind so much having sold my original Munitioner/Explorer set.

 

THIS! I would absolutely buy the hell out of a full set of FP Combaticons.

The repaints as far as we know are still in prototype stage or they are just keeping them from us. Who knows for sure, they could be waiting until after the new Brut comes out so they can make sure all the ports are the same size, I know they had trouble with this when they first released munitioner and explorer.

I actually hope that this time it is colored to match Energon Bruticus Maximus. I passed on this set the first time due to only having the Energon Bruticus Maximus set, and I have no intention of buying any other version of the Bruticus set.

 

I keep telling myself "I do not need these guys, I already have the originals" Let me see if I can convince myself of that when the preorders are up.
