I don't care t all about the quake gun, I guess I just never actually saw a pic of Colossus standing next to MT Giant. I expected Colossus to be bigger, but you'd think by now I would have seen a scale shot somewhere before. Maybe its because I had never intended to buy Colossus, but since the new pics on TFSource, I've bought the united Bruticus and plan to get this upgrade set. Part of me deciding to do that is because I finally got Yellow Giant, and I wanted an equal scale awesome combiner standing next to him.

 

Mhm, he's tiny so hopefully FP won't price him over the $10-12 dollar range.

Kinda curious, but how come I NEVER see anyone put a decepticon sticker anywhere on that guy? That silver belt buckle seems like an ideal location to add some logo color

 

You don't happen to have the ROTF/Universe Bruticus mold to combine these ones with at all do you? I want to see how well they work with the previous colours.

 

The blue feet were a surprise to many. That was a post-release pic provided by a retailer.

It's third party, they can't use Decepticon or Autobot logos or anything trademarked Hasbro. Any piece that wasn't featured with United Bruticus/ Bruticus Maximus won't have any Decepticon logos. And considering the only PROPER logo you can see in full combined mode is the little Decepticon logo in the Energon Star connector, you'll never really see any. That being said, I may put a few little Repros on my Colossus once I get it! (little Decepticon logos on Explorer's wings will look beautiful!!!) ^^

I'd also like to see an eventual release of Quake. I don't care if he isn't featured with the set, but he just seems such a cute and nice little shockwave, it'd be a shame to miss it. What still confuses me is the "Crossfire-02EX"...

On other topics till we get more updates on the subject, do you guys think they'll re-issue the Aerialbots and that Fansproject will re-do a set for them as well? Or do you think they'll re-stock on Crossfire-01s? I'd love to get my hands on XFire Snowman... Looks so good in ol' Aerialbot white ^^

 

I think he's talking about the grey love patch above the crotch. On energon barricade it's blue, and i think rotf has a black one.

 

Sorry maybe I wasn't clear, I was asking why no one puts reprolabels on Bruticus or something, I never see that on him but see it all tr time on lots of 3rd party stuff. I know why third party toys can't have logos

 

There's an itty bitty Decepticon logo in the circle on his chest. There's not a whole lot of real estate to put a large sticker on.

 

Wow must be the tiniest logo ever. Geez.

 

Oh yeah it ain't big XD Best part is in robot mode, what ends up being the combined chest is actually FLIPPED, so you get the Decepticon logo upside down >.<

 

There is a little space, you just have to get a little creative. lol.



I even think they add to the altmodes as well. Like this one on Explorer for example...


...and it looks pretty sweet on Brut's arm in combined form as well...



Also, here are the reprolabels sets for these guys...




I used some of them, but no where near all of them on combaticons. I was able to repurpose a lot of the leftovers on other 3rd party stuff though so that was cool.


The best thing about these reprolable sets IMHO are these two little stickers right here...



...that cover up the Energon jellybeans on Brawl and Vortex. The one on Onslaught isn't bad because at least it's silver, but these two always bugged me. lol.

It kinda makes sense since 6 bots should be a tad bigger than a 5 bot team. That and I see Devy as the monstrous bruiser while Bruticus is the more agile commando type. XD

This set is really tempting. So much of my budget is tied up with other stuff but the geewun colors are calling me!

 

man I just can't wait for this. Currently I have:

- Energon Barricade with onslaught reprolabels (which honestly don't look that bad on him) and a big decepticon faction symbol on his undercarriage
- RotF Skystalker for use as shield
- PCC Heavytread modified into a Xfire Brawl, his minicon painted to match (calling him 'Altercation' a Combaticon in training)
- RotF Vortex with reprolabels
- Reprolabel sheet for Munitioner/Explorer sitting in a drawer

So instant I get this gonna put this bad boy together (with skystalker as his shield), christen Quake as 'Aftershock', who will be Altercation's fellow combaticon trainee

Both good points. I still have every intention of getting the set. I wonder though if FP Menasor will be head to toe as tall as or taller than Bruticus or the same size.

 

i'd so buy that reprolabels set.

 

Damn! Ah well, I want to see how badly the colours of this set clash with the ROTF figures. I'm guessing the actual bots themselves won't clash too much, it's more the leg pieces that'll likely not work so well. Hopefully someone else gets a set soon and can show these figures on the ROTF/Uni version.
