Keep in kind folks are contacting A3U now too. It's possible "the nice guy who finally posted pics" just got screwed. That would really suck but it does happen. If A3U says there were no extras, then the next step is to see what happens at TFSource.

I was planning on (and still will) buy this set with or without extras. The bots and parts look awesome and will finally round out my combaticon unit. But promising extras that never showed will be an issue...if that's what happens here. We're still early in the game. Calm down.

i just did a quick look around, and other than TFsource, chimungmung is the only other retailer that even mentions quake or extras.

so i would hope those two retailers come through.

 

I think the larger point here is how quickly this fan base becomes entirely spoiled. MMC dispels on rumor and FT, in a valiant effort to make a normally HIGHLY skeptical fan base trust them and now what has been the norm for years has become absolutely unacceptable, disrespectful, and by the way some speak of it, almost evil, overnight. I think the MMC and FT model is the way of the future and the way to go for companies, but the degree to which everyone EXPECTS it immediately now from everyone because they have gotten what is truly just a little taste of it, is a touch irrational.

 

At this point, Quake or not... I just want my figures. These delays are a real pain in the ass.

Though I will say that while I am as ready to jump on a torch burning kill-em-all-for-fucking-us-over bandwagon as the next asshole, the speed with which folks are ready to crucify FP is a bit staggering. This is ONE shipment for ONE guy from ONE online retailer we're talking about at this point, right? And the pics just went up this morning? LMAO! Wow.

 

Actually all we are really expecting is basic communication directly from the manufacturer regarding basic details of what's included in the product, instead of relying on heresy and rumors

What about the additional stuff advertised? Since you know everything? Can you confirm all that's included in this package with 100% certainty?

 

I'm not saying the expectations are unreasonable. I actually said quite the opposite.

My point is that what everyone is up in arms about is something that was pretty standard just a month ago. Now with two examples of something different the attitude has become that its a travesty.

Imagine you are selling oranges on the corner and everyone buys your oranges. When they buy oranges you throw them into their car. Everyone catches them, smiles and drives off, satisfied customers. For 3 years this goes on. Ppl buy oranges, you throw them in the back seat of their cars. Then one day some other guy comes along and he's selling oranges across the street. His oranges aren't any better or worse, but when you buy his oranges he walks up to your car and politely hands them to you. Maybe you should follow suit and hand people oranges instead of throwing them in the cars. But you've been doing things your way for so long that the next day you throw the oranges, like you've always done but suddenly all the people who have been happy with your services for 3 years say "hey, fuck you asshole for throwing these oranges!"

Should you start walking the oranges over? Yes. Are the customers screaming bloody murder out of line? Yes.

This isn't an either or situation. FP should buck up an give the people what they want now that others have begun to establish a new paradigm. Simultaneously, everyone should calm the fuck down.

 

the "stuff" advertised at tfsource/chimungmung only? i can't say it'll be in a package from A3U, no.

but if you ordered from A3U or bbts then there was nothing advertised as extra.
