In regards to the TRU Masterpiece Op, but it fits all, really: I thought it transformed more than this, but I was clearly wrong. It's a partsformer and that's really all it is. Boo. Even G1 Powermaster Optimus was a real transformer. |

Does it work with any other cabs? 1984 G1 Optimus? Machine Wars Optimus? Universe Deluxe Optimus? Any change of using the Junkion Blacksmith headmaster with it? |

That seems very high, compared to other items I've gotten from them (Exgraver, etc...). I'm sure this weighs more - but THAT much more? |

It's not like you have to completely disassemble this and then reassemble it to make the new body. City Commander's armor was partsforming all the way. The only things on this you have to parts form are the forearms and those are no worse than the original, and the guns which again are no worse than the original. Six parts and four of them are weapons. The side gun pods don't have to be removed, the pictures only show that you CAN remove them and even reattach them to the base figure you are using such as Henkie/Classics Optimus. If anything it's partly shellformer and only because there's that one blue shell piece you have to remove but...we've seen shit like this a lot. Hell, Perfect Effect does BOTH to a serious degree. Partsforming all over the place for the Frezy/Rumble/Eject/Rewind/and especially the Reflector sets and the Reflector set has some serious shellforming too. Too me it seems that people are bashing this because their first release was kinda shit...and it was. I know some people still like it but I can see some serious failure in their engineering there that I don't see here. I'm seeing a huge improvement on the design work and finish. Everything visually I had a problem with on the first prototype images are not present anymore. Aesthetically though, that's up to you. Let's face it. The body design was based on the way the armor looked in Japan for Ginrai and he looked more like this. The head is very much like the original and I like it. And yeah, the trailer doesn't look like a perfect rectangular box...but neither did the original. Hard to hide a trailer when you have GIANT ASS FUCKING CANNONS hanging off it. ![]() SUBTLETY!!! Just saying. At that point why bother trying to make the rest look like a regular trailer? It's a support weapon and if Prime has this on him, then all pretense of a disguise is off. This trailer is for battle, for when things get serious enough that hiding it is pointless. It's for war so it doesn't HAVE to look like a giant box. You want a giant box, fine. Get the Fansproject G3 trailer. |
