^ Look at Bujo's picture. He didn't have the legs straight when the arms are held out. You need to set him up so that his body leans backward a bit to act as counter weight I would think.

It takes some finesse. As divinecomedy pointed out, put him in a half squat position like he's trying to sit in a chair. The torso will be just slightly behind the knees.

I agree. I'm perfectly happy with every aspect of the figure.

This figure is amazing, face or no face. Period. They produced a superlative figure, with quality materials and craftsmanship, first time out of the damn gate. So the hell what if they actually lied about the face issue (and that matter is entirely debatable, as jop illustrated so well above)? Big, fat, hairy, deal. That doesn't change the fact they they knocked their first release out of the ballpark.

If that's the way you feel about it, then you probably shouldn't buy any commercial product from ANY company. Like politicians, companies and corporations LIE. Sometimes they do it with true malice, sometimes because they are clueless, and sometimes because they want to sell their products. Do you shop at Wal-Mart? Do you buy products made by Monstanto? Do you keep your money in a credit union, or do you keep it at a bank like Wells Fargo or Bank of America? Do you have a car that you put gas in? Do you buy products made by children, or by people who work at what amounts to slave-wages? How many lies have you supported with your wallet? How many truly despicable, disreputable companies do you support, grudgingly or otherwise?

Compared to the other things going on out there, this little "lie" about the face on Project genesis is so miniscule as to be laughable. Project X is not Wal-Mart. It is not Monsanto. It is not Bank of America. Its a first-time 3rd party company producing a figure that is already a violation of intellectual property. They did it, and did it well. And as has been repeatedly pointed out, every photo of the protos showed no face. So there you go.

So yeah, use that as your reason if you will, but don't expect the rest of us to swallow it, alright? You decide who deserves your money, and we'll do the same with ours.

And this will indeed be my final word on your stance here.

Hate to be posting so frequently but. I have come to an very unsettling problem with the copy of Genesis I have. The 'rocket/gun arm' that splits in two to transform it, feel like it is glued together. The top peg unplug easily, but the bottom one does not move at all. Any advice on how to get it to split without breaking it like I feel I might do? Amazing figure overall, besides that simple problem with my copy.

yes, use a thin durable object and jar it open slowly. It should work perfectly. I used the back part of a boxcutter so it wouldn't scratch anythin as well.

I hope you manage to get it open and do not have the issue I had.

Same as yours, but no jar, wedging, pulling would get it open. It is a very long thin peg, and when I finally got is open mine snapped off.

The seller is now sending me new arms. (the other arm has other manufacturing isses)

I managed to finally get it open, but it took a lot of patience. The top part was easy, but the bottom part was simply a case of too fit a tight, I could actually see remnants of plastic on the long thin peg once I managed to extract it all the way. Nothing broken, no stress marks either. Fantastic figure.

UPDATE: I tried getting the two halves to split this afternoon and finally managed to without anything breaking. One thing I also tried ( slightly risky ) is getting a normal screwdriver that fits the beg hole, and simply scraping it down a little so that the peg fits the hole but not incredibly tight. Works perfectly now, it fits in there nice and tight, but not tight enough so that it won't budge again.

I haven't even tried to TF mine yet, but this thing is already one of my favorite figures ever. He feels really solid. So big and imposing... So detailed...

Was CP free shipping? I remember reading somewhere that Genesis was with free shipping or something for US customers, otherwise CP is $350 exc shipping. I paid $350 shipped for mine from RK to Australia. Depending on where you live, it should be around the 350 mark from RK, for people that live out of Asia. That's with the cheapest shipping method.

I paid for shipping on mine from CP. So nope.
You can easily find this out for yourself by going through the check out process at both retailers to see how much shipping would be. RK has very hit and miss customer service, so its a bit of a gamble going with them. If your Genesis has an issue it could be awhile before it gets sorted out.. if ever. I went with Captured Prey for this reason as the folks over there have an excellect track record.

Robotkingdom is only 2$ cheaper than Capturedprey, but for some reason, Robotkingdom couldn't accept my debit card, so i went with Capturedprey.

Only $2? How? I would imagine that shipping would be 50 for this to the US via cheapest method from RK. CP is already 350 before shipping and I'd imagine with shipping it'd be at least another 20 or 30 on top.

So where is the best place to order from, and how long will it take to ship generally?

Toy Arena has it in stock and they're in California.

Robotkingdom has it in stock and they're in Hong Kong.

Captured Prey has it in stock and they're in Indiana (I think).

How long it takes to ship will depend how busy each store is. I live in California so Toy Arena gets stuff to me hella quick, like 3 days shipping plus one day lag time depending what time of day I order (but I rarely use them due to sales tax of 10%). They're a big enough retailer to have a full store worth of people working on getting orders packed.

Robot Kingdom has longer lag time and a terrible website, plus international shipping is a hassle.

I just did Captured Prey and there was a delay in getting it shipped after it came in stock. As I understand it, it's a one-man operation. I'm in no hurry but there will be about a week gap before shipping.

There's pros/cons for each, you decide what you wanna do.
