You know, I'm a bit surprised they haven't made a special bonus incentive offering for early adopters willing to put down a full payment for the entire set.

Why not reward those with the disposable income to pay for the whole set up front too? Assuming guaranteeing sells is a priority, perhaps these shouldn't be items one can simply put into a POL (thought that, I suppose, is a retailer's choice).

Will the optional member come with his own arm canon or other alternate weapon or a weapon that combines with everyone else's to make Predaking's sword even larger, raising his price? Or will he simply come alone in the box--I'm trying to figure out how much he and the rest of the set is going to cost? Will he cost as much as Divebomb or more?

It will be hard to choose and afford both this and UT's version. Both deserve a shot at pleasing the fan base. With Uranos and the FP Stunticons in the works, there are too many choices and not enough money. Weren't there silhouettes of Computron and Defensor on the 3P boards somewhere as well?

saber tooth sounds cool. I'm getting doubles on each figure but I think I will just get one saber to leave as individual mode. I like the traditional 5 member Predaking. The option of 6 is cool though.

 

I said MMC is G1 looking enough for me to get. I'm saying they should also take a crack at other combiners because MMC is going for updated G1 aesthetics which I like unlike the other 3rd parties making their own vision of combiners should look like.

 

Divebomb being able to attach to the back reminds me of the Ninja Megafalconzord. Excellent.

ah. I thought you were talking strictly G1. Well, most 3P companies do exactly what you're talking about. It's especially easy to see with the TFC combiners.

 

Personally I like combiners being a bit Frankensteinish--too much symmetry is bad IMHO. Looks TOO cohesive and not "formed from various parts".

 

I know exactly what you mean and this is why Devastator will always be one of my favourites.

However, i think with the different animals in this one, it should look just right on this one. I love cars, but I know that Not-Menasor is going to be VERY symetrical. Predaking should be broken up enough.

I know I am being negative nelly today, but this whole money grab taking 5 team combiners and making them 6 is annoying.

If the 6th member is optional, then that is one thing. If you need it for the combiner, it's annoying as you need tonspend another $100. Also, it's not G1 accurate.

Before getting on me and saying why G1 accurate, then I will ask, why not fucking make a whole new combiner from scratch that looks nothing like anything G1 saw before? If your making Predaking, don't make Predaking with the added cash crab gimmick and in accurate.
