I never expected either the UT or the MMC ones to be $350. All I said is that was how much I'd be willing to pay for a Predaking personally, because I'm just not a huge Predaking fan. The MMC one is probably going to be $500 bare minimum, and the UT ones are already priced at $90 each, which is more than I'm willing to pay.

Don't take this as a complaint. I'm not angry about this. I'm just stating that personally I like Predaking okay, but not enough to spend $5-6 hundred dollars on one. I'm glad both of these exist and people are going to enjoy them, but it's just not for me.

Frankly, I know the feeling! But I'm holding out for a cheaper-than-we-might-have-thought price from MMC for these. $75 a piece would do it, for sure.

After the stellar pricing on Cyclops, the HoS Seekers and now Hexatron I find it impossible for the Ferocicon figures to sell for the same price as the UT versions (aka TFC combiner prices).

I personally believe that the max they will charge for a Ferocison is $75 (and thats on a US retailers site not RK) but I will not be surprised at all if we see a $60 price on these. Pricing similar to Giant will blow my mind but this being MMC it will not be unbelievable.

$60 a pop could definitely make me consider it. I would be really surprised to see them for $60, but if they go for that, I'd be really tempted.

Also, keep in mind, MMC and Mech Ideas are somehow related (and even go sofar as to have their characters appear in each others' fiction), and the Mech Ideas Jumpstarters are the probably the best bang for your buck out of any 3rd party item ever - $35 for a deluxe is unheard of, when most go for $60-70ish, and Perfect Effect has deluxes for $100!

Most people seem to prefer the look of the MMC Predacons, and if they turn out to be cheaper than the Unique Toys ones, I feel bad for the UT guys.

^ 60$ a pop just makes someone "consider" it? :p

If its 60 bucks per, I am buying a few just to repaint them cuz they are so freakin cheap.

35$ a deluxe is Takara price. When 3P prices = Takara Price? Mind = Blown.

UT will probably go under if they don't make enough sales.

MMC officially destroyed Takara prices with Hexatron. MP Sounwave is $160 at the cheapest. The reissue Sixshot was over $130. Hexatron is larger than Soundwave and has a ton more engineering that G1 Sixshot. MMC is just rocking it right now. I am so happy I decided to get on board with these guys since HoS Prime. These guys seem to be one of the companies that are consistantly trying to offer more for a lesser price. They could easily charge more and get more but I think what they are doing with their prices will make them of the few groups that will still be around 5-10 years from now.

The story we know about Mech Ideas and MasterMindCreations is that a designer from MMC branched out to start MI. MMC fully supports him so I think of it as two really good friends that have the same company. I know I would support my buddies and they would support me. Especially when you can talk and make sure you don't step on one anothers toes. Im greatful MI decided to follow MMC's pricing practices (if not beat them cuz as it was mentioned the Demolition Crue is wonderfully priced)

It has something to do with the fact that the guy they bough this kitbash from (or stole I dunno) also made a Bruticus.

I don't recall UT mentioning it directly but at the same time I can not deny it being said either.

sure they can. Because if I want another Bruticus redo after FP's colossus, I wouldn't want it coming from UT, an unproven company at this point.

So, just to clarify, MMC's version of Predaking is based on a kit bash? I thought only UT's was based on a custom.

No sorry. UT's is based on a kitbash/custom and it is UT that mentioned Bruticus not MMC. So the person who UT borrowed Predaking from also made a Bruticus and that is where the comment is coming from.

What I can not confirm or recall is if it was the UT guy who mentioned it or if the fandom is just making the connection because they know the Radicon that made the UT version of Predaking also made a Bruticus.

$60 each for these id buy 2. the aftermarket price will NOT stay at $60. these would jump to over $100 a piece when sold out at retail... and at $60 they'd sell out fast. don't sleep on these, they look freaking awesome.

sorry to the UT guys, but MMC looks better, is larger, and will probably be cheaper. who is going to stick with UT?

maybe they should start on Bruticus now... i am def in the market for a good 3P bruticus.

It sucks because honestly I loved UT's custom when I first saw it and I love that they are able to mass produce it so good for them. On the other hand MMC has been pissing excellence lately and it doesn't look like they are going to stop.
