Incidentally, Razorclaw and company look pretty damn sweet in these digital renders. Wish I'd seen it a week ago, instead of silhouettes (which as a general practice, really has to end). They would have had one more sale.

Excited about the new figure! Great addition!

My man, I think this may be a product you should consider passing up. It seems to have you extremely perplexed and bent out of shape. Everybody doesn't have the same amount of cash to spend on these types of luxuries and there is nothing wrong with that. Patience is a virtue. To give you some more certainty on cost, Not-Tantrum and Not-Headstrong should be the same price, $89 early bird and $105 retail. Not-Divebomb, Not-Rampage and I assume Not-Sabretooth will be $75 early bird and $95 retail. Razorclaw is the remaining character to which we do not have much pricing info. But right there you have your four G1 figures costing $322 early bird or $400 retailer. If you estimate Razorclaw to be around $150 then you have an estimated $475 to $550 total for the set (not including the optional 6th figure). I hope this helps ease your soul...

It is "optional" so there is NO obligation for you to purchase it. You can purchase the 5 G1 bots and have all of your desires fulfilled. The 6th bot is a change up and solely for those who might appreciate the divergence from G1. It should offend none who do not want it and please all who do want it.

Oh, wow! You missed these?:(  This is why I actually went through with my order, this and Cenokibble answering my questions about Tantrums shoulder joints (he said we stated that we saw an early prototype, which gave me hope that it had changed). The first CG renders and the prototype weren't exact matches, I saw progress, so went ahead and jumped on in.

The new Not-Predaking render looks so much better than the first one shown in your post.

All this talk about how much Razorclaw will cost. I would say not to worry about being raped on price as MMC is very price sensitive to the TF community. Just look at the track record of recent pricing of Cyclops, HoS Seekers and Hexatron. For the price you are paying for, the figures parts count and paints apps would be costing more if it was produced by other 3P companies.

Yeah but who else could it be? Robotic sabre tooth tiger deception, and by the way we've been told he's an established character

I'm glad I chose MMC. (i still like the design of UT, if i have the cash later, I may pick it up for the G1 accurate figure) I like the idea of the 6th character, but i was kinda liking the idea or a bear, but sabertooth tiger works for me. I love robot cats (voltron/Go Lion's fault). I'll get all 6, and decide when i have them in hand if I'll add the 6th figure or not.
I do love the look of predaking now. he looks bulkier and stronger, not as skinny as the original silhouette suggested.

How so? Because I want to know when each character is going to come, what accessories are included (as it's cost related), and how much each member is going to cost so that I can make funds available for them?

All the more reason to let people know pricing and release date info. What I and others are asking for is a no-brainer--it isn't uncommon to know how much a product cost well before you pre-order it, toys or not. If they want you to put money down, that's cool too, as that is usually common practice too.

Patience is a virtue, but probably not the best course of action with 3PCs, as items do disappear and get jacked the hell up in the gray market (which I can't really fault).

Guess are guess. I want something more concrete;)

Eh, I thought the sixth figure would balance out the torso. Great news though. It means that Razorclaw is a great torso. I'm not going to be able to hop on board right now on these since I'm setting money aside for FP Menasor and MPs, but I can't wait until it's all said and done and comparison pictures with MT Giant, FP Colossus, and FP Menasor are out. Getting these once they're out is going to be like getting Giant again for me.

All I said was that it hasn't been confirmed by the insiders. I didn't say if it was wrong/right.

As far as prices go, I'd expect them to be fairly similar based on what part of the combiner they are: Rampage and Unnamed Sabretooth should be comparable to Divebomb and Headstrong should cost about the same as Tantrum. I think at this point Razorclaw is the only real mystery.

I have to say, I'm a little perplexed as to why some posters desire a combined mode that exceeds a height of twelve to thirteen inches. I realize that the character Feral Rex pays homage to - Predaking - is frequently depicted as towering over other gestalts; but there are engineering, scale, and cost limits on how large one can make such a figure.

It's strange; this is like the debate over the height of BTS' Nova Lord all over again, only the sides seem to have flipped. :lol

Well, he's 12.5" from head to toe which means he'll probably by just under 14" after the shoulder cannons, right? Perfect size, IMO

Just in some of you replies throughout the day, you appear to be more stressed and upset. Not trying to take any jabs at you, just looking to help relieve the stress.

I'm with you on the release date info, but I think they have done better than most of the other 3rd party companies on pricing as well as being upfront on pricing. Also they've given us a reason as to why the leg bots cost more then the arm bots. Most of the other 3rd part companies just give us a price (when they want) and tell us that's the price because they say so. At least with MMC they gave us a discount and if they discount didn't work for you then at the very least you knew how much the regular price would be.

The guesses are more of an educated assumption based on what they have already set as price precedence with the two limbs they have offered, as well as the comment that the opposing limbs will be priced in the same way. Uncertainty managed with faith comes with the territory if 3rd party collecting.

Other than putting Predaking together and adding CD parts, I never touch it. It's a gorgeous BRICK sitting on my top shelf. These new homages, both MMC and UT, have me very excited that I can finally have a Predaking gestalt or two that can actually be posed and moved.

Thanks for the clarification on the 6th member being optional. That is good.

I was looking at this and thinking, this looks great. Wait, that requires 6 figures! But good to know. Still think this looks like the better of the two in combined mode.

o.k. cool, i'm in then. Herc feels taller than that for some reason.

not that much more compared to the nearly $600 for the original Hercules price

The speculation was fun. Will there be any surprises left for when we get them in hand?

Nothing personal, sir, it's just that this comment of yours broke the camel's back.

A man and his son were once going with their donkey to market. As they were walking along by its side, a countryman passed them and said: "You fools, what is a donkey for but to ride upon?"

So the man put the boy on the donkey and they went on their way. But soon they passed a group of men, one of whom said: "See that lazy youngster, he lets his father walk while he rides."

So the man ordered his boy to get off, and got on himself. But they hadn't gone far when they passed two women, one of whom said to the other: "Shame on that lazy lout to let his poor little son trudge along."

Well, the man didn't know what to do, but at last he took his boy up before him on the donkey. By this time they had come to the town, and the passers-by began to jeer and point at them. The man stopped and asked what they were scoffing at. The men said: "Aren't you ashamed of yourself for overloading that poor donkey of yours and your hulking son?"

The man and boy got off and tried to think what to do. They thought and they thought, till at last they cut down a pole, tied the donkey's feet to it, and raised the pole and the donkey to their shoulders. They went along amid the laughter of all who met them till they came to Market Bridge, when the donkey, getting one of his feet loose, kicked out and caused the boy to drop his end of the pole. In the struggle the donkey fell over the bridge, and his fore-feet being tied together he was drowned.

"That will teach you," said an old man who had followed them:

Please all, and you will please none
