    Again, that's been quashed.

CenoKibble says it's not a Targetmaster or similar.

He's also said that the guesses haven't come close yet, so it's nothing obvious like that. He's also said that the new figure does something to change Predaking's "look". A new gun won't do that.

Is the sixth member an established character from G1 or from one of the various other generations?

Shit dude. You're making this so hard for me now. Plus that beefed up look. God damn.

The size decrease however, hmm. Where can I find the 20%?

All retailers carrying these guys will have reduced price pre-orders for about the first week of it being offered, before the prices revert.

So right now, you can get your ~$15 off on Tantrum. But the pre-order window on Divebomb is already over, ended on the 25th, so he's $90 everywhere now, instead of the $75 you could have gotten him for.

Shit. Now I'm back to square one. I missed Divebomb already? Fark.

They are really going for this.

The outstanding idea of using 6th member for combined beast mode hasnt been shot down. I like that. I take the silence as a good sign.

Sorry, I phrased that wrong. You haven't missed Divebomb. You just won't be saving that extra $15 on him. The discounts are a limited-time offer, only good for the first week of pre-orders. After that, full price.

Divebomb's sale is over. Now Tantrum's up.

They really meant everyone, including me, are going to be happy about this. Damn. Who would have thought?

How's the plastic with MMC? I have one bot of theirs. Sadly, even the wife noticed the craptastic plastic. Surprise with this MMC.

    :confused

They've made sure and steady improvements over the years.

The original Knight Morpher Commander was reportedly pretty crappy.

The re-release and Annihilator were pretty solid on the other hand, but the design itself still left much to be desired.

Cyclops had great plastic quality, but had a fiddly, fragile design.

But then the Hearts of Steel Seekers came along, and they were amazing. Sturdy plastic, crisp as hell detail, and spectacular poseability. Not entirely indestructible, with their thin propellor blades, but otherwise, just awesome.

No reason to think that MMC won't continue where they left off. These guys definitely look to be closer to the HoS Seeker school of design, rather than the fiddlyness of Cyclops, or the boring blockiness of KMC.

On a completely different topic, since I didn't comment about the new Predaking render at all, I'm so overjoyed by the fact that he actually has dedicated elbow joints. Seems silly, but I'm getting so tired of seeing spindly thighs/knees serving as the gestalt elbows. Looks spindly and terrible. It was passable on FP Bruticus since they had to repurpose the existing toys. But the elbows on Uranus or the UT Warlord look like ass. Although, on a more negative side, it doesn't look like they have a huge range of motion. Maybe only 45 degrees, not even a full 90, what with all that bulk above and below the elbow. I'll be happy to be proven wrong, though.

    Thanks dude.

I remember seeing some posts here about Cyclop's quality, not something I'd like particularly on a combiner.

I don't want "display pieces only" aka "adult collector grade" LOL. I love how some peeps say it sometimes.

    75$ per bot. Hmmm.

I do keep hearing that their plastic quality have improved over the years.

My next guess is a properly scaled Skylinx to replicate the scene in the cartoon.

Yeah, you definitely want a combiner to be solid, yet playable. Not a pile of fragile origami mess like Cyclops.

But it sounds like MMC's starting to take some of the criticisms against them to heart. They seemed so convinced from their prototype that Cyclops was going to be perfect, but that toy had issues.

But Sixshot/Hexatron was supposed to come out at the end of last year initially, but it sounds like they actually bothered to get production samples produced this time around, and they found a few flaws that needed attention, so the toy got pushed back to this Spring.

So as long as they actually bother to play with their own toys for a bit to see if they work, and with the greatness of their Seekers as indication, I think we'll be seeing some solid work out of them.

    I'm convinced these guys listen.

I hope they keep up with the brown man rebates in the future. It's good way to get their cost back quicker by giving out the number right off the bat. It doesn't look like a huge risk either the way things are going around here. That's confidence in their product. Hey, I was convinced previously, I wouldn't touch this anymore but at that price? 375-400 now is it for the winning Predaking?

I could be wrong, but I think the "not even close" comment was aimed at the guesses of "who" the 6th member is, not "what" it will be. Of course, I could be wrong about that though.

I do like that sound of that as well.

But... I also took the silence/non response to the guess that the 6th member will be a replacement arm in place of Divebomb, and Divebomb's wings remain attached and he connects somehow to Predaking's back.

I remember there being a comment, long burried somewhere 20-50 pages back, that the optional addition to the combined mode would/could eliminate the need to remove Divebomb's wings in combined mode if one so chose.

Could be it was worded differently, or maybe I was reading it wrong, but that is the main reason why I am still clinging to the "replacement arm" theory.

Well the small bird head complaint is being addressed I believe.

Woah, if this Not -Tantrum is $102 at regular price and Not -Razorclaw is going to be larger, these are getting pricey! All the more important to get in on the discount!

    Preordered! 3 to go...

i'm thinking of maybe selling my herc to buy giant as think its going to display better with this than herc and we have fp menasor that will be around giants size yeah? also the idea of getting herc and giant have pretty much gone out the window this year due to so much goodness being released from both 3rd party and the official mp line just don't have the cash to buy it all!

whats everyone else think? do think thats a good plan and anyone else doing the same?

I got rid of Herc to fund my Giant as well. I liked the way it scaled with bruticus and mmc feral rex towering over them will be like the G1 toys :D
