Yeah the claws seem the sort to fold away more than merely flip up, both the arms and legs look like they do a lot of folding and moving between the 3 modes.

If you look at the underneath of his left arm it looks like the front paw just folded up against it.

Yeah, bigger paws seems like a fairly simple change that'd help lion mode. (I had asked for bigger paws for both cats way back when we saw the "dark red" early renders)

Also--thicker cannons. (they obviously extend/retract, don't worry about length)--but they'll only look even skinnier when fully extended, and look like twigs on Predaking, going by the newer combined render. They need to be big heavy cannons, not long skinny sniper rifles.

I actually quite like the smaller paws. The obvious temptation may have been to have massive great robot paws, but I think having them smaller looks quite distinctive and it suggests a lighter footed, more nimble predator.

Looking at things, I think the suggestion for the robot head to be higher-up/longer-necked may be the easiest way to get better proportions. The relative size/location of a person's head is a huge subconscious clue as to overall body size/height. I'll try to 'shop something later.

Thicker shoulder cannons and higher head sounds good to me. The more elongated they make him look the better for his proportions.

Man, how it would suck if this or any other project got held up because of something like beastiality on the boxes while the customs forms read toys or whatnot:lol

Not Razorclaw so far looks decent. Will have to see better pictures before declaring it good. But definitely a good compromise of individual and gestalt mode SO FAR.

The more I see Razorclaw the more I like it. And boy is he detailed!! Making the digibash was a challenge. So many little parts and mechanism to pick out. A lot of it is still in B/W.

Went with toy look but as you can see, it is more homage since the toy hides the lion parts differently. Tried to tie the lion extremities as much as possible with bot mode.

    EDIT:

Don't know if you noticed or not, but you colored the underside of Razorclaw's arm yellow where it should be orange, the Lion's paw, but we can figure it out;)

Digibashing must be hard work. Thank you for your effort, man.

    I second this:D

    Nice job on the digibash.

I was having hard time visualizing Leo/Razorclaw, compared to the other released pics of the figures because of the dark color of Leo/Razorclaw. The digibash helps quite a bit. Thanks

In a way I am glad this slated to be released in Q3, my wallet will be taking a beating in the next 2 months. Hahaha

ty hardreturn yes the changes to me are worth it the bulk will trun preds into a beast and if you look at the red render there were big gaps in the forarms and thighs for the cat feet to store it looks to me as if the redesign handled that aspect alot more elegantly. love the digiash too now im seriously confused on how the arms combine thou.

His tail will probably not be red IMHO, as it's the hilt for the Oppenheimer Sword. I mean, they COULD make it multi-color, but Predaking's sword has always been 100% gold from end to end.

I think he looks great. Looks like this in bot and alt while still forming the torso of a Predaking designed by God, pretty amazing. Imagine it TFC did it, we would have a bot dangling underneath the shell of a lion and endless mods to make the torso passable...

If you look closely at the left shoulder of the lion mode, you can see one of the MakeToys Giant-type connectors folded up. So, unlike Giant's arms, the arms for Feral Rex will have female connectors, and the torso will have the male pegs. Interesting... clever way to reduce connector kibble on the arm bots.

Guess that means the connector spied on the bird guy's chest is for when he plugs into the back when the 6th member is an arm.

Here's a brightened version I did, may be fun for people to try to pick out transformation details etc. What are those round bumps on the backside of the mane edges? (click twice for full-size)
