According to the Chimungmung site, they'll be in stock on the 4th, but actually I doubt they'll be in stock until next week at the earliest because there's the Chinese holiday, and the Art Feather person on the ACToys forums said last week that after sending out an initial batch before the 29th September, they wouldn't start sending them out again until the holidays end on the 5th.

It looks as though this thing is plagued with QC issues, which might not be surprising. I just took a look at the AC Toys forums via Google Translate to see if people were receiving this yet, and now that the Chinese holidays are over, a number of AC Toys customers in China have had theirs delivered. And most of them seem to be complaining about it on the forums.

There are some obvious QC mess-ups such as this:

But also, almost everyone who has received so far it seems to be reporting the same issues:

• The differences between yellows is obvious.
• The shoulder ball joints are loose (some figures can't even hold up the gun).
• The mouth on the face-sculpt is a little odd:



• The back wheels have a tendency to fall off because the metal pegs are smooth and not glued in.
• The doors on the arms are loose on some.
• The wing mirrors are falling off for a couple of people.
• The front wheels don't turn, or barely turn, because the rubber tyres are too thick (this is a problem on all of them).
• The chest piece doesn't click into place in robot mode (you can see this problem in some of the prototype shots where the chest is clear and unpainted).
• The seats on his legs are too high for the roof, which is presumably why they are bent forwards in most of the photos posted by people.
• Spike's face looks like that of an old man (not that anyone's buying this for Spike and his toolbox).
• The window wipers look silly:



Sorry to be a killjoy - I'm still sort of looking forward to this, but figured people who have pre-ordered it might like to be forewarned...

It sort of makes me glad that TigerBlade and OptimusTimelord are buying this, so that I can see how they mod it and follow suit.

Seriously though, this does not bode well, however I will still be getting him, as long as all parts are present upon arrival it should be good.

True, but at this price, should you really have to fix it?

If this were downscaled to about the size of iGear's Hench, it'd be more tempting to me, assuming the QC issues didn't exist. For what it is, it looks nice, but it would look too big among my Masterpieces.

You can pretty much say that about everything you can buy but mine will stay in alt mode as a paperweight so as long as the QC is good enough, I won't complain.

Which MP's are you referring to? The pic with MP-10 looks perfect

Not sure what you're referring to by "say that" (not sure what part of what I said you're referring to)...anyway, I'm usually not obsessed with scale, but this thing looks like it'll be nearly equal in size to the MP Sideswipe. That doesn't scream minibot and that doesn't work for me.
