So I was searching Ebay and found this. Binaltech Style Chevy Cruze

Does anyone know what this is? Promo Item? K.O.? Strange concept that got leaked? All I have found is a Forum that mentions it and a retailer that has it.

Re-shell\custom\knock off of Alternators Silverstreak.

Box has a red movie bumblebee. Rear panels mismatch in car mode.

Sure, but the best damn re-shell I have ever seen,. The lines are perfect and the logos are legit, even the interior matches up with the actual car rather then just reusing streaks.....KO's skimp to save cost, this does not look skimped. The box, is crap I agree.

I see what you mean about the panels in the Old Ebay auction but I am an expert in BT/ALTs and know that they are often mis-transformed.

I agree that it is not worth 150 bucks for sure. I just want to know if there is any other info on this.

 

Wow! Tell us, how did you become an expert? That thing looks totally awesome, I bet Chingmungmung will get it for a third of the price at some point.

After doing a bit more digging on these forums I found this

It's not a custom, it apparently was a freebie given away in GM dealerships in China for some promo.

 

I remember seeing this a year or two back. Nice, but ultimately just Silverstreak with a slightly different alt mode. If you like that sort of thing, there was a Hummer made from the Hound body too.

 

The hummer was a KO though, like Wheeljack and the others. This one appears to be an unlicensed exclusive of some sort.

 

No, owning all of them, except one (Smokescreen BT-07 #2) as well as the Alternators equivalents, does.

True. Just wasn't sure if the Op had seen or was aware of the Hummer; it may (or may not!) be of interest to a BT/Alt fan.

 

Whoever took the shots of that thing managed to do worse than Hasbro's own stock photography team. Aside from the obvious fact it's a heavily modified Silverstreak, the wheels are facing the opposite way and they forgot to rotate the hips. The rear doors do NOT form that toy's front feet. The official stock photography of a normal Alt. Silverstreak managed to get that right.

 

I'm very tempted by this, must offload some more of my stuff on the ebay.

I'd consider you an expert if you owned unreleased prototypes, made your own Alt/BT customs, and knew all the names the entire design team of the Alt/BT line. Having all the Alt/BT figures makes you more of a completist than anything IMO :shrugs:

Nice collection though. I own 11 Alternators but I'd love to own the rest someday..

 

I'm no expert, but I expect this to pop up on Chimungmung's site sooner or later, for much, much lesser of a price....I'll bite on this if it becomes affordable.

First the Jeep was KO'd into a Hummer, and now the Subie into a Cruze....I wonder what's next?

 

The RX-8 into an RX-7 please, God. Or the S2000 into an S15.

 

These KO companies should realise that knocking out KO's or the RX-8 as a Porsche 935 or the s2000 as a 280zx Fairlady would make them an absolute mint?
