What do you need the grease for? I haven't been paying much attention.

Would Silicone shock oil work? It's only a few bucks for a bottle off ebay and it won't damage the plastic that's used in tf and third party toys.

cant wait to get this guy in hand, im thinking this whole need for grease in the joint thing is a little over stated. it seems its not a joint issue as much as tight tolerence's for the legs

 

That's exactly what it is. The posts for the hips rub against their socket holes. It's a tight fit, and plastic on plastic can squeak because of friction. Nothing is going to get damaged. You can lube the area to ease the friction of the sound bothers you, or you can just play with it for a while and the squeak should lessen or stop. Or you can just not let the squeaking bother you.

I've ordered my phantom via taobao. The seller promised that it will be shipped today and I should get it by the end of this week...keeping fingers crossed. Hope to have a few shots of Phantom running away from an angry Hercules before Xmas. Lol

 

Well...Fansproject already made a Bruticus, so I don't see the need for TFC to make one, and I personally think that Computron would happen before Abominus.

 

How I would it happens   I'd love to see on the market both MT and TFC versions of Computron  

 

Size differences alone would make a TFC Bruticus worthwhile...we don't all collect small combiners

I don't know if anyone has posted about this, but you can kind-of-sort-of store Phantom's fist in robot mode by pegging it onto the wing:



Not exactly elegant, but neither were the storage options on Hercules, at least not in robot mode. Surprisingly, it's not easy to see from the front, which is how most of us will display him.



Also, it helps with any backheavy toppling issues. LOL

 

Not a bad solution. I peg it into his fist to make it look like he's got one really big hand. Too goofy for most folks, but I like it.
