So Silverbolt in this case is Ultraclass size? Or closer to leaderclass, and thanks for the info.

The legs are too long. From where Silverbolt ends is proportionate and would be the knee, but from there is a whole limb attached. But I guess, what could they do unless then made a sturdy knee joint in the leg limbs and got rid of the Silverbolt thighs?

    Probably about 9" or so...
(oops...only meant to post the 6th pic down with the comparison shot...)

I'm no air plane expert but I think they look just fine.

The planes definitely look worse than the first two. Eagle and Phantom could actually almost pass as model planes in terms of shape, while the last three are not as convincing. Meh.

So really, did they make Silverbolt bigger? He looks proportionate now rather than undersized as originally shown. Personally, I absolutely love it. Everything looks GREAT!!!

Fuck yes! Oh man, Superion is going to be two heads taller than Giant and FP Bruticus! I love it. Planes should be larger. Plus my Autobot combiner is going to be out numbered so a bigger size levels the playing field.

Those plane modes look like planes to me. If you're going to get bent out of shape over inaccurate alt modes you may wish to rethink your place in this hobby.

Part of me wants this yesterday but my wallet is glad this is being spread out. Gah I have to go stare at the pics again!

I hadn't noticed before, but TFC used the top of the fuscilage as the top of the forearm in these pics. In previous pics they used the undercarriage as the top of the forearm. I'm glad to see it done this new way as it makes the arm look much more like an actual arm and less like a plane with a hand on it. There is much less robot kibble and everything looks sleek.

I remember seeing a pic with them starting to display it like that a while ago. Though I may be wrong.

    EDIT: Here it is.

Damn, and I thought MP Grimlock had big arms. Superion is not suppose to be this body builder bulky up top. And chest shield still looks stupid.

I'm glad to see that it works. When I looked at the first page of this thread at the last few pics to be released, they had the arm the other way around. Even that half-Uranos/half-Hercules photo has the wrong side facing out. I just like that you can do it either way, but I definitely prefer the top of the fuscilage facing out.

What can you do with hands and feet if the robots are not combined? Do hands and feet become something? Do they become parts of the individual robots (like, hmmm, a flying-engine-thing...)?

Feet become stands for the alt modes. I'm not sure if the hands do anything.

Well, I ordered the first one. Though with what I read earlier, what kind of lubricant should I apply to the hip ratchets?

I disagree - it seems eminently sensible, from an engineering perspective, to utilize a near-identical transformation scheme for the two arm members and the two leg members. If TFC were offering straight repaints or only mild retools, I would certainly think differently; from appearances however, it seems they have completely retooled each figure down to the smallest detail.
