I didn't miss them, I was just referring to the more recent complaints made directly above about his legs, torso, arm thickness, etc. Also, I didn't say that I agreed with them per-say, just that it isn't fair to call them dramatic.

As for Uranos himself, I see why people say his body is tiny, or legs are too long, or his shins are too busy etc. However, I understand this guy is a giant robot, made of several other less-giant robots. I really don't need him to have human proportions or appearance, since he's decidedly not a human. People also complain about feral rex being too chunky in his thread, I think it's funny there too. :)

Personally, I think he looks cool combined, I just don't like Blackbird at all, and the jet-wings and chest-plate seem not well thought out. I'm waiting to see if the hooplah about upgrade parts in the next two bots is true, and hoping their price comes down, but I would like to add this to my collection at some point even as-is. It's just a shame Blackbird and Ray are of such poor design; I would be getting these guys as they come out if not for that. :-\

Is there a qc thread for the Uranos members?

I got a blackbird from tfsource that prevents him from transforming in to torso mode.

My eagle feels like its going to break when flipping up the thrusters and my phantom has a really bad squeaking when u move his legs front and back... Lol

well there is a video on tformers.com for the squeeky leg thing. As for no torso mode, you will have to be more specific.

More like 12 degrees but yeah. :D . (And actually the latest pic gives me a bit of hope about Harrier's anhedral----some is at least better than none)

The flap that moves up to allow the shoulder joint to move in to place for torso mode is either installed incorrectly, or it was installed with the same part from the other shoulder. See the pics below, it's stuck under the body so that it can't go up.

Man someone else way earlier in this thread had that exact problem and I can't remember who. IM not sure what he did to fix it. You can always email tfs, even send this pic, IM sure they would do something. I honestly cannot think what the other person did o fix that. But u are not the only one who had that same problem.

You have two right side shoulder flaps. I had the same problem, I contacted RobotKingdom and they sent me replacement parts. You should contact TFS with that picture. In the mean time you can loosen the chest screw on the left side a bit so that it will give you room to free that tab.

    Thanks for the responses...

Yea I msged tfsource and tfc through facebook earlier. Going to email tfsource again tomorrow. Dont get me wrong, I love the design, alt modes and bot modes... but I feel like compared to herculese, the production quality is lacking. Quality of plastic included.

I had a mis-assembled head on one of my Herc figures when I got him, TFSource offered to send out a replacement within 48 hours of me contacting them, I would try that through their site.

Yes, it's the best Superion available...but is it worth another $500 (plus upgrades) to have a second Superion also with flaws and not be entirely happy with? $500 is a lot of scratch to drop on something that's only pretty good that's already represented in many of our collections.

woah, that would be a whole new level of 3P wars... "Nuclear", even, to scavenge directly off of an existing set with a whole replacement figure.

I do think a LOT of people would buy that figure, especially if it came with new heads for the 4 other bots

I love this set even with the flaws. I did the chest mod and was thinking of painting silverbolts chest and mid section in this color scheme in the pic .

If someone has paid for and owns the set and has complaints, it's legitimate. But the issue here is a lot of complaints and nit picks are coming from the same people who will never own the figs and just keep picking the crap out of this project based on a handful of images.

I see so many complaints that BB looks small as the torso in combined mode compared to the limbs and yet reading through the Feral Rex thread I see nothing of the sort even though they are of similar scales to the Uranos figures (4 voyagerish limbs and ultra classish torso unit). When I look at Uranos and Feral Rex they both have large limbs compared to the torso but I still think they look awesome. I just don't get this need for robot combiners to have human proportions.

I'm no TFC fanboy and will be the first to agree that BB is not the best version of Silverbolt TFC could have come up with but at least I own him and can make that call from actual inhand experience with him.

Why would you need another set of the same figs? That's the beauty of combiner transformers. You get to display them in 3 different modes so you just change them from mode to mode every now and then. Kinda seems overkill to have 2 sets just to display them in all their modes. It's costly and you also need a huge display area!

And are you talking about the FP Superion add-on? I have that set as well but that is nothing compared to Uranos. It only made a shit looking combiner better. You still had identical limbs for the arms and legs that looked nothing like the Aerialbots in any mode.

I guess the cost is a consideration but at the same time I do not pay large sums of money upfront. I buy each fig as they come out. It may be a $500 set but you are not paying that all in one go unless you decide to wait and buy it as a set. Honestly I don't really understand the complaints about how TFC are ripping people off with these figs. When you compare them to most 3P figures of that size the prices are quite competitive.

If a better Silverbolt was made (I don't care by who) I'd totally get the set, though obviously not TFCs sh!tcake BB...

Hmmm I actually like the set, like not love, mainly bc of BB & superions "dur face" love the rest of figs so can't say I wouldn't jump on an alternate version of silverbolt

The prices for the figures are reasonable, especially if you consider that, if you double the height, the volume increase is actually 8 times more, so I think it's still within my acceptance range for 3P stuff, comparing to things from FP.

At the same time, I think TFC can improve with better detailing, and a less busy color scheme. Overall, I'm still quite impressed with the final combiner pics, and look forward to owning this set, despite the 1 mediocre bot.
