Its not as if maketoys are making their version of superion, named giant 62 or something  just saying.

 

I sure would like to see a pic w/o that dumb a$$ gun...it adds even more mass to that right arm...some pics from the left side would be cool too showcasing the new limbs...and on the subject of the new limbs, have they shown color pics from many angles of the new bot and alt modes?

And deco wise, I really wish TFC would learn that less is more...

Great pic! Have you done the Tekering mod? Could you add the Eagle wings into the chest plate like I do with Phantom's? It could make for a cool Bruticus.

And how tight are the limbs? I sold my FP long ago and don't have the recolor yet. I once used the energon bruticus on Uranos but the limbs fitted so tight that I could not move them.

 

No I won't be doing the tek mod since I will inevitably break my bb, I also don't own the tools required to do so. I'm waiting patiently to see either Meg's chest or holding out for TFC to reveal their own.

I did that combination more as a joke upon discovering how similar the connectors are. I didn't try turning them because they don't feel like they'll do so without potentially breaking or stressing the joints so they clip together fine but I wouldn't wanna test em since the shapes aren't an exact match just close enough they hold.

 

I bought a energon divebomb over this weekend on the cheap (2nd hand), and was toying around with it. Im enjoying how i can complement my uranos limb bots with divebomb's eagle alt mode while the latter can also transform into a double blade/bow weapon for tfc gestault sized figures. All it needs is a paint job to blend into Uranos' color scheme of reds, blacks and yellows.

 

Thank you! If I hadn't decided to phase out my CHUG's as MP versions come out I would eat this up. As it stands I think I'll have to make my own MP scale Superion. Big job.

the paint work for the final two limbs are quite good, also with the comments made on the thighs of the combiner mode, I dont think it is as bad as some make it out to be even though some of you may disagree with me.

Besides if the thighs are too thick, it might be hard to put him in various poses. Once i am able to get hold of the new chestplate upgrade form Megs31, the whole combiner form is likely to look much better. He has made an awesome effort on that  .

In total I would have paid around $550 for the whole set. after including FP Intimidator and Hexatron it will be close to $1,000 i have spent on 3rd party figures, but definitely worth the price tag if you are a serious transformers collector.

 

Just a little FYI on your mp superion. I think it can be done with the following base parts: 4 KO oversized Starsreams, 3 model jet kits, and ONE to-be-released titan class Metroplex.

Uranos' size disproportion comes from the shin bots being too tall and the arm bots being too wide, not blackbird. I don't mind it that much myself but yeah he'd probably look better if they'd scaled all the bots better. Then again he'd probably look better if someone slapped whoever approved the Blackbird design in the face instead too but oh well too late now lol.

 

Maybe someone else can come in and make a new Silverbolt to save the set?

Couldn't agree more. I don't understand the hate for this guy. I think he looks all aces myself. I'm excited for F-16 and AV-8B to come out. He's gonna look bitchin in hand,
I'm sure of it. Just as blackbird looked and felt much better in hand than he did in pictures.

Dramatic? When someone is voicing a complaint about a set they're already put several hundred bucks, and several hundred more to come into; that's anything but dramatic. It's not like people are complaining that his fingers are too long, they're complaining about his entire body's proportions....

 

You must have missed the previous complaints about landing gear length and 5 degree difference in wing angle. lol Its all personal preference, just some members act like because they dont like it that something is "wrong". Like all the people that say how you HAVE to buy the add on for Hercules otherwise it sucks. People are already saying the same crap about this one too. Yes he does look a little long legged and he's not perfect, but he still beats the crap out of any Superion available and will look great next to hercules.
