I haven't seen him online these days, but you should hit-up Bystander--he's the one who spoke directly to Jeffy (TFC Toys key designer) on our behalf about Hercules on the Weibo boards.

 

I do...nothing to note...  Just quite a bit of hooha about the starcats dinobot combiner being cancelled/ postponed indefinitely... I even created a weibo acct just to follow up on TFC's update and so far nothing...

I was looking forward to finally having a new complete team of Dinobots since the G1 releases!

Now we're back to waiting for Hastak to come through with the FOC Dinobots and that is highly unlikely they will do the complete team...

Oh and iGear but all we've seen so far was a teaser poster shown over a year ago!

Well what ever the reason for TFC pulling the Dinobot combiner project, I really hope they finish Uranos still!

Would suck if we only get 3 out of 5 figures!

 

That's lamentable seeing how good a fig FoC Gimlock is. Having the other 4 would of been an awesome collection.

In many ways, I am glad they didn't do this. Something about them as combiners didn't sit well (at least to me). They were badass enough without needing gestalt mode.

Concerning Uranos. Is the project in jeopardy of not being complete?

 

Definitely! Especially if they were all voyager sized and had similar lightup gimmicks as Grimlock.

Yeah I wasn't fussed about the combination thing either. Just happy there was 5 dinobots.

No there aren't any real signs of the project coming under threat just yet. Just some reports recently that their sales were lower than TFC expected. That coupled with the lack of updates for the last 2 figs makes it a bit of a nervous wait.

 

So is TFC just throwing in the towel on the last two?

 

I highly doubt it, because if people pre-ordered Falcon and harrier and paid for it upfront they will be really pissed off especially if they cannot recover their money.

TFsource says it has been delayed til May/June, likely to be June.

 

I don't think the last two are canceled, just delayed. Though it is kinda strange we've not seen the color versions yet nor seen any updates from tfc in quite some time for that matter. Would really be a shame if they just abandoned the project after getting 3 bots in to it. Uranos will always have his flaws but I certainly want to complete him still.

 

I ceased to care, Not-Bolt is such a pain in the ass let down I can't be bothered with the last two anyway. It's a shame because a "big" Superion was needed to balance out Herc and we are unlikely to get one from anywhere else but I'm just not getting my moneys worth with these lacklustre Bots. I think a lot of goodwill has gone down the pan on this project and TFC will have no-one to blame if they do find themselves in shit-street finacially because the competition for fan-bucks has never been so intense and theirs a lot of much desired stuff coming over the next few months to clean us out too.

 

I'm still planning on getting these, unlike Hercules, I'm waiting until all are released and I'm guessing the prices may drop a bit. My Autobots need a combiner asap to compete with the Decepticons, LOL.

 

Yeah, I am ready for this guy to be complete as well. I hate to say it but my excitement for Uranos is a fraction of the excitement that I had for Herc at this stage.

I still like Uranos but if I really reflect on the matter I think I am more excited to finish him simply so I don't have "half-a-bot" standing on my shelf and so I can finally mark one of this years many combiners off of my list.

TFC may have made some (or many) errors with this guy but most of those don't bother me. However, what does affect my enjoyment of Uranos is that now there are so many combiners to choose from and I am simply more excited for those - all of which are a good bit cheaper.

 

I must be in the minority, as I like them just fine so far (wonky chest shield aside).

 

Exactly, I want to finish him already, one so I don't have half a bot on the shelf and two so I can put him behind me and focus my attention and money on other things. Come on TFC give em to us .
